Aria gained her balance and stood slowly. "Sorry! And... thank you." She said looking up. She didn't recognize the boy. He looked like he was wearing... A prince costume? Aria furrowed her brows." "Um, Aria. My name's Aria." She said looking down as she kicked the dirt around with her shoe. When she glanced back up, she smiled softly, trying to be nice and not seem... harmful. "You?" She asked crossing her arms. The girl pursed her lips and looked up and down the boy's outfit, trying to understand why he was wearing that. Especially in the forest.

Sage nodded slightly and then cocked his head. "Sage," he eventually hummed. "And you're welcome?" He was admittedly nervous, but he was starting to relax...the girl didn't seem to be much of a threat. "What are....do you live out here," he asked curiously.

Aria looked at the boy. "Sage." She hummed. The girl looked over at her house. Aria looked back up, to meet the boy's eyes. "Yeah. I live over there." She said mentioning to the small cottage. "It's not much, but for one person... I can manage." She chuckled softly. "Do... Do you live in the castle?" Aria asked. It was the only place she could think of, that had him wearing the 'royal-looking' clothing.

Sage hummed slightly, peeling himself away from the tree for the first time. He nodded in response to the girls comments and wrinkled his nose slightly. "If you want to call it living," he snorted. Then he sighed. "I had to get out so..." He made a gesture with his hand, sort of implying he liked the forests peace.

"I get it. My father left me when I was young, and my mom passed a couple months ago. I come out here to get away from everything." Aria said looking down. A single tear fell down her cheek and onto the grassy ground. "It's just hard for me sometimes, to manage all of it." She said looking back up. "So... I'm guessing you don't 'like' the castle life?" The girl said with a smirk.

Sage hummed his sympathy and then shrugged, the corner of his mouth turning into a rather unhappy smile. "Well, I can't say I have the best castle life. I'm not the crown prince so I'm pretty much treated like a prisoner. A back up in case something happens to my brother." He shrugged slightly. "Though, he's the one with all the guards."

Aria nodded. "Well, I think you would be a pretty good back up. Well, in my opinion at least." She shrugged, putting her hands in her pockets. She cocked her head to the side slightly and gave a small smile. "I think I would make a pretty good guard." The girl joked. Aria felt bad for Sage, when he said he was pretty much treated like a prisoner.

Sage chuckled lightly and shrugged. "I can't see you marching around with no emotion," he admitted, giving the girl an almost shy smile. "You seem more ..real than that." He cocked his head then, turning his gaze to her cottage. "So you really live out here? What's it like?"

Aria rolled her eyes playfully and smiled. "I mean... It would be fun for me. Just saying!" She giggled softly. Her cheeks turned a pale red at his next words. She followed his gaze to the cottage. "Yeah. It's... relaxing. It's amazing being out next to the woods and all. I love nature." The girl said, looking into the dark night sky.

Sage chuckled slightly and shrugged. "Yeah until you have to go fight in a battle," he hummed, his gaze getting distant for a moment as he remembered...less than amazing things. The girl's voice brought him back to reality though and he nodded. "The woods are kind of my escape," he chuckled lightly. "It's definitely better than my musty old room."
