08:48:16 Vy | Nyx I think drama on HEE gets a little wild sometimes. I remember a person who would gift stuff to people to the point it made others uncomfortable. And then later ask for favors. I remember asking them to stop sending me stuff and they just laughed about it and then came to me for favors later. |

"okay, so what I'm hearing is, you liked working with plants and you liked photography but the plants are hard work and you don't want to learn how to use photoshop all over again?" Carmen had to pause so she could get all her thoughts in order "Plants...okay, what if you took on a few easy plants? and then worked with them in our garden, we don't really have that much greenery so it would be nice to fill out the space. You could do research on which ones are the best and then get the seeds and build a garden" That was a bit of work but he needed something that would really keep him busy, Gardening also seemed pretty safe as long as he avoided using sharper tools like shears "And then photography, you don't have to use photoshop if you're doing it as a hobby and not an actual job" Carmen was a bit lost on this, she actually didn't have hobbies of her own so she was throwing random thoughts together "Of course you don't have to go with that stuff, you can try new things" She added "If you wanted to, that could keep you busy too, just looking for a new hobby or a job" (sorry it's short) Edited at August 1, 2021 02:59 PM by Misconception Manor

(sorry, I've been painfully busy prepping for a show, and going through a tiny rough spot mentally >.<) - “Well, what if I combined them? Of course, after the plants grow..or maybe I could just get some tiny sprouts...and maybe I could track their growth that way! With pictures and stuff like..like a little collage or something!” - Brayden had sort of forgotten about his plant obsession when he was younger. Not much younger, but younger. - Sure, all of his other friends worked at chain restaurants or Walmart or something, but nobody judged him. At least none of his closer friends did. - Most of his work there involved just watering the larger, outside plants, since the greenhouses had a nice setup for automatic watering. Occasionally if he was the only one around, he'd help a customer. Or maybe take care of the numerous farm birds that roamed the place. His favorite were the ducks. Four of them, Swedish Blues. Probably the prettiest looking ducks he'd ever seen. They weren't anything like the chickens or geese. The ducks enjoyed running up to people to get a closer look at them, and to get attention. They were like puppies, letting people stroke their backs and their heads. They never bit, and a lot of times they'd let themselves be picked up - if you held them the right way. - But other than that, all he remembered was how nice it was. How calming and quiet the place was, even if it was packed during spring and early summer.

A smile broke through in Carmen's expression hearing Brayden talk about the plants so excitedly "that sounds perfect" She agreed "you can add little notes about their height and other progress" Carmen added pausing to think for a while "I can get you everything tomorrow, seeds, a book and a camera if you don't already have one, mind you it may not be the best quality" she had a vague memory of setting up cameras in her previous job, and it had been costly equipment "they can get pretty expensive" Maybe she could get Brayden a proper camera for christmas but for now a polaroid would have to do, at least that would print out the pictures once he took them Carmen was happy that they had found something Brayden seemed to like so much, he seemed pretty happy with the choice as well, if it worked to keep him busy and out of his own head it was perfect "So now we have that all set, what should we do right now?" Carmen asked leaning against Brayden again and fiddling with her hair as she looked at him waiting for an answer She would have to make dinner soon, and she wanted to keep unpacking some of the boxes that were still lying around but until then there was nothing wrong with relaxing with her fiance, Carmen didn't mind what they did, watching a movie, just talking or sitting quietly, as long as she didn't have to get up right away Edited at August 21, 2021 12:28 AM by Misconception Manor

“Aw, Bean you're the best. I honestly don't know where I'd be without you.” Brayden gave her a hug, “Probably dead...or something…” He added quietly, “But that's not important, because you really are the best person in this whole wide world.” - He knew what she meant, and besides, he didn't want to spend money they didn't have..or at least, with only one job at the moment. He felt bad, being a sort of stay at home husband. But he just had to find “his thing” and clearly whatever that was, was excellent at hiding from him. - “I know, and that's alright,” He smiled, “I'm just glad I have something to do while I look for what I really want to commit to career wise. Which I'll also be working on, Finding ‘my thing’” - He let out a content sigh, gently playing with Carmen’s hair, “Mmm, well how much free time do we have? It's getting kind of late, but not too late.” - (my apologies for the length >.<)

(No worries, I don't mind reply length :>) Carmen looked at him "well, I think the same about you, without you my life would be completely different, I feel like you make every day better for me" she smiled and kissed his cheek gently "One of the many reason's why you're my favourite person in the whole wide world" She wasn't the best at articulating her emotions but she really did want Brayden to know how much he meant to her, she would have to come up with a better way to show him than just words, maybe on the date she could do something sweet "Okay, I'll help too when I can, if you find anything I could set up interviews or look into places where you could go work" Carmen added to what he had said "Depends how late you would like to eat, I also want to unpack a few more things..so maybe half an hour?" she leaned her head into his hand smiling "It isn't a lot of time to really do anything" Carmen pointed out "We can't watch a movie since there isn't enough time to finish it, we could just keep talking if you wanted?" her mind was blank "do you have anything you would like to do?" Carmen asked, twirling the ring around her finger, maybe she could get Brayden a ring, he didn't actually have one to wear, that could be a nice gift, her mind had drifted off thinking about it Edited at August 31, 2021 11:00 AM by Misconception Manor

“You know what? I bet we can unpack at least one big box or two small boxes in half an hour.” He raised eyebrows, glancing around at the remaining cardboard cubes and nodding softly. “Yeah, yeah I bet we could!” - What did they really have left to unpack anyway? Sure, the boxes were labeled, but how much could he trust some sharpie writing on the side to know what was REALLY inside. - Damn, I have very bad trust issues. He laughed to himself a bit, “What's all left, do you know? Cause if we conquer stuff that's either in the same room or really easy to take care of, it'll make it a lot easier.” Brayden planned aloud, “We haven't unpacked much of our seasonal stuff, but that can just go into storage. Unless, what's the next holiday coming up? Or do we still have to wait for fall?” - (i am so sorry about my inconsistency with replies :/ Life has been crazy for me lately)

(It really isn't an issue! I understand you have things going on, no need to say sorry :) ) "I think the next holiday is Thanksgiving..." she wasn't too sure, she thought about his idea for a minute "hmm, maybe" she took a look around "well, I think two small boxes would be good to get done" Carmen got to her feet and walked around, picking up two of the smaller boxes and placing them on the table, opening them up and looking inside "One of these is just some kitchen appliances, spatula, whisk and all that, a few bowls too" it was labeled Baking so it made sense "and the other one...some old work stuff, I'm actually just going to throw this out" she shut it and pushed it away from her, it contained key chains and pictures from Brazil and other places they had visited Maybe she would keep one or two things but not all of it, she wanted to leave it behind, that time in her life had brought about a lot of stress Looking up from rummaging through the baking box she focused on Brayden again, smiling at him "we can unpack this and go through the other stuff to see what we should keep, that we can do in thirty minutes"

“Oh, man I was hoping it was a holiday that we could decorate for without just throwing pine cones all over the house and calling it good,” He let out a quiet huff. - Brayden peered over her shoulder (which was incredibly easy) and scanned the boxes as she opened them, “No, don’t, I know they're uhhh...bad? memories, but just...we can just pack them away in the way back of the storage room. Maybe some things we can throw, but not all of it” He couldn't describe it, but there was no way he'd just trash the first year or so of being with Carmen. Sure, some of it sucked..a lot. But some of it didn't, and that's what he liked. Not ALL of it sucked. - He grinned right back, nodding softly, “Of course we can!”

She chuckled a bit "you like decorating? hm, maybe we could do something extra then, like hand turkeys or those little triangle flag things people hang up" Carmen didn't know the actual name so Little Triangle Things was probably going to stick Carmen paused a bit and let herself think "Alright...you need to help me with that too though, but let's cross that bridge when we get to it, for now, we just get through the first box" she understood there was sentimental value in some of these items, like the photos, one or two of those were actually nice Back to the task at hand though, the kitchen, Carmen lifted the box and moved it to the center of the wooden floor "right, you need to get up to help me" she said casting a smile over at Brayden before grabbing a few of the utensils.

He followed happily, taking care of everything above Carmen's height limit. He couldn't help but lean over her a couple times to sort some cups and grin, "Oops, didn't mean to get in your way." - (i'm back >~<)
