Iris nodded, eyes darting away from his when they locked. She didn't want to be stuck again. They sat for a few more minutes in companionable silence until Iris happened to glance at the clock. 5:37. She wondered if Caden had any plans. She didn't for sure. She was planning on warming up that leftover spaghetti in the microwave, but didn't want to ditch Caden for her pathetic dinner. "Do you have anything going on? We could go get food..."

"Sounds like a good idea," He murmured, smiling slightly as he stood.

She followed suit and grabbed a jacket from her closet, knowing it would be cold. "I usually just get food from the grocery store, do you know of any restaurants around?" She zipped up the jacket and picked up her purse and phone, then began to tie her worn and scuffed sneakers.

(what if maybe he owns the resturant and so then since he does they walk through the lines of people waiting and shes like 'wait how' and hes like 'i'll show you' / 'just trust me' and so then one of them notes how its so loud in there so they head up to the roof and eat up there, maybe vent a little, become better friends? idk random thought that popped up lol) "I mean, there's this one place I think is really good. Could go there, just have to get through a smidge of traffic." Caden noted, deciding the school sweatshirt, worn dunks, and shorts would be alright.

(ooh yeah that's good. I love random thoughts that pop up! lol) . Iris nodded. "I don't mind the traffic. Your car?" She figured Caden would want to drive his and didn't really want him to see her old, tiny car. It was practically the opposite of his shiny, new one. But hers had personality, and she liked that. It had stopped raining outside and the sun was about to set, casting long shadows across the wet ground.

"Yup, need to know if I did roll up my windows before it rained or if they're still down." He mused casually, heading down to the car. The windows were up and the top was not retracted. Caden had the top retract, the cool night air refreshing. He waited on Iris to get in, eventually driving off over to a resturant titled Privet. Lines were out of the door, Caden not paying any mind and whistling out a tune as he parked before getting out.

Iris smirked following him out to the convertible. She slid into the passenger seat and let the wind whip her short hair as he drove, enjoying the crisp evening air. When they parked in front of a seemingly incredibly popular restaurant with people in lines out the front door, she frowned but didn't say anything. Caden didn't seem concerned, so she'd trust him.

"We'll get through really quick, trust me." He noted, glancing in her direction as he made his way infront of the lines.

Iris nodded hesitantly and got out of the car, following him. When she realized they were cutting, she caught up to Caden and touched his arm, whispering, "What are you doing? We can't cut in front of everyone!" She was confused at his actions and hoped he wasn't going crazy or something. She was fine waiting in line as long as Caden was there, but it seemed he had other plans. She hoped they weren't illegal plans.

"No trust me on this one, i'm not cutting." He mused, making way to the hostess who let him in with a 'didn't know you were coming sir'. "Sarah, evening." Caden greeted, the woman letting him in simply and a waitress coming up to him to go seat him. "Uh yeah, bit loud in here which is good since buisness is coming in. Think we might head up to the roof, get some quiet." He informed, the waitress nodding as Caden started walking towards a door to the elevator. "View's great up here, I promise. And I bet you'll think it's better and more calm up here." The man explained to Iris, motioning for her to follow him into the elevator. He clicked the button for the roof, fixing his hair in the mirrored panel of the wall. It took a minute or so to make it up, the doors dinging open to a empty lobby. "Here we are," He murmured, grinning slightly as he stepped out and opened a door a few feet away. "Just up here and then we'll be there." Caden explained, opening the door to reveal a sunset struck rooftop. The roof overlooked the whole city, lights stark against the background. The bustle of cars and whatnots was... subtle up here.
