After a little while, Saphire lifted her head from his shoulder. "Hey" she whispered. The rain had let us and she rubbed her eyes to see the sun rays burning down on them. "Let's go find your sage" she pulled herself to her feet, wobbled a little then righted herself.

"Okay, if you need to take a break we can." Cade said, eyeing her wobbling. He didn't want her to fall and hurt herself. The three set out and tried to find Cade's sage. Rascal went out to hunt sometimes and they would take breaks and wait for him to come back. After a couple hours they finnaly reached the clearing and Cade ran and grabbed his bundle of sage from the ground.

Saphire wearily walked the whole way, sometimes lifting from the ground and hovering above the ground when her legs couldn't hold her anymore. When they found the sage, she felt like she had gotten punched. She laid down on the wet grass. "We're not going anywhere else now right? I can take you up in a tree" she looked up at the trees and instantly felt a little dizzy. "Those are higher than I thought they were" she shook her head then looked back at Cade.

Cade shook his head. "You need to rest, you need to be as strong as possible for when they come back." He sat down next to her. "We can sit down here."

She sat up then closed her eyes for a second. "Something smells weird" she opened her eyes and glanced around. She sniffed, grabbing things and trying to find the smell. The only two options were Rascal and the sage. She called Rascal over and sniffed his fur. Saphire grabbed the bag of sage then stared at it. She took one whiff then gagged. "It's- it's the sage" she put it down then covered her mouth. "Sorry. Guess I don't like the smell of sage. It's okay. If it saves our life then I'll be fine" she knew that the sage would affect her in some way because of her half demon, but it wouldn't kill her or give her serious side effects like a full demon would.

Cade nodded. "That's understandable, if you were a full demon it would be deadly." Cade opened his arms, encourging Saphire to cuddle with him. "We can rest until they apear again."

Saphire shook her head. "Let's just hope- and yes- pray that they don't come back. I know they will though... heck they may even bring an army" she sighed then curled into Cades waiting arms.

Cade held her tight. "And if they do bring an army, I'll be right here, ready to help you in any way that I can."

Tears gathered in the corners of her eyes. She was exhausted from the day and couldn't think straight. " But you can't see them..." she sighed then went to wipe the tears from her eyes. Rascal scurried into her arms before she could touch her face and he licked her cheeks. "Aww thank you Buddy" she said softly, scratching him behind the ears

"I know, but. I have this." Cade held up the lighter and motioned to the sage. He smiled at Rascal, greatful that they had him. Cade knew that the demons would coem back and would bring more of them but Cade had his sage and lighter, as long as they worked he, Saphire, and Rascal should be fine.
