"Ah. Well, smart choice." She teased. "How do you feel? Any less briken?" She aksed, looking genuinely concerned, as she so often did. "Any of your limbs actually working?" She asked sarcastically, gently hugging her knees.

Ajax snorted slightly, then grinned. "See? Every once in a while I make smart choices." He replied with a half-hearted sniff, sighing slightly at her next words. "Weeeelllll... I still feel like I've been cut into a billion pieces and sewed back together with poison coated needles buuttt... I'm doing great!" He answered cheerily. "This arm is." Ajax commented haughtily, since his right arm did move. "This arm... kind of does..." He glanced at his left one, which looked like it had honestly gave up the will to live, (not that it could make that decision), but he could still move his fingers. "And I walked out here so my legs must work."

"Every once in a while? More like every once in a blue moon." She scoffed playfully. She rolled her eyes at him. "Well, isn't that just swell?" She teased, seeming to lighten up slightly. She pretended to count on her fingers. "Wow. That's all four limbs. Im surprised."

Ajax glared at her for a moment, but he still couldn't find the will to be mad at Mercy for long. Or at all. He didn't think he had ever been actually angry at her. "Hurumph." He muttered back, looking appalled at her second sentence. "No, it ain't just SWELL and I BARELY know what that word means. You may have to use words from, ya know, normal language?" Ajax barked a laugh, though he regretted it afterward. -owowow- he thought again, though it was a far cry from the pain before. "all four limbs." Ajax confirmed with a smile

She gave him an affronted look. "It's not even that sophisticated! This is normal english." Mercy huffed, giving him a playful glare. She pursed her lips as she saw his reaction to the pain, getting distracted at his other comment. "Its better than, what did you have before, two?" She teased.

Ajax groaned slightly, shaking his head. "Look up swell in a dictionary and tell me what it means." He grouched, though his eyes had a daring look to them. "Doesn't it have to do something with WATER." He snorted, then moved on. "Oh shush it, the point is they all work now." Ajax commented huffily, looking the faintest bit annoyed and a tiny bit more amused

"It would have two definitions, one would be a common english adjective or exclamation, and the other is about water, yes." She huffed. A little after, a smaller, fluffy black cat made his way over to the couch, promptly leaping into Mercy's lap and giving Ajax a yellow-eyed glare. She chuckled and gave the cat some chin scratches, watching Ajax. "Sure it is. Alright, now for questions, since you're already a teensy bit annoyed with me. Did you ever have any pets, when you were alive?"

Ajax didn't answer, just tried not to chuckle so he didn't hurt himself. When the cat jumped on Mercy's lap, though, he had an unusual reaction. He scrambled backwards with a surprised face, which quickly turned to an appalled face. "Holy cow, you have a CAT?" He asked, looking hostile. If Ajax was a cat (which is too horrible to think about), he would have probably been hissing and snarling by now. He glared at the small creature with about the same yellow glare it threw at him. This was another thing Mercy did not know... Ajax hated cats, and the only thing he thought they were for was catching rodents. If they couldn't do that they were absolutely useless. He still looked shifty, definitely not sitting back down yet, but calming down enough he could answer Mercy's question. "I lived on a farm, remember? We had all kinds of things, but I probably wouldn't call most of them pets. Cows, chickens, pigs, horses, dogs, and a couple barn cats that ran whenever I came near." He huffed during the last part, his eyes narrowing slightly.

She gave him an insulted look, the cat mirroring her. "Yes, I have a cat. His name is Binx." She huffed, curling up with Binx in her arms. Binx gave Ajax an aggravated hiss as he appeared to upset Mercy, his ears flickering back for a second before he licked his chops, back to glaring. She huffed and stroked Binx's back, giving the cat a soft kiss on the forehead. "Well, I rather like my cat. What do you have against them anyway?" She asked, letting Binx hop out of her arms and trot across the couch toward Ajax. He leapt from the edge of the couch and onto the floor, trotting right up to him and brushing against his legs. She gave him a teasing smile. "See? He likes you."

"YOU NAMED YOUR CAT" Ajax yelped, his brow scrunching together. "Why? What's the point?" He asked, looking at the cat with an equally insulted glare. "They have a mind of their own, they don't care about anything or anybody that isn't themselves, trans they always seem to be planning some evil little plot in their tiny brains." He growled, looking quite unhappy. When the cat came to brush against Ajax's legs and scurried backwards, shaking his head. "No way." He huffed sternly, pacing around the room till Mercy was in between him and that cat,
