Iris gave a small shrug, hoping it didn't look weird. "I guess I mean... Well, I've never..." She looked down at her hands, cheeks warming in embarassment. "I've never really done anything like that before. I won't know what I'm doing." That was one of the first times she'd ever said those words. 'I don't know what I'm doing.' Usually she knew her goal and how to achieve it, or at least pretended she did. Now she was falling into a whole new world she was so alien to that she didn't even know how to start.

"Well heck i'm not too sure either," Caden admitted, casting his gaze away from her as he felt a flush creep up his neck out of spite. Why didn't he know? He always knew. Math? Easy. Learning numerous languages? Done. A simple thing which should've already happened to him? Nope.

Iris offered a shy smile. "I guess we'll just have to learn together, huh?" She fell silent, not sure what to do now. Now that they were-- What? A thing?-- she wasn't sure where to go or what to do next. She supposed she knew enough about dating-- Didn't she? Maybe she didn't...-- but she had no idea what happened in between, before, and after that. Were they just supposed to hang out every chance they got? She didn't want to have to live up to people's expectations just because she was in a relationship. She wanted to be normal with Caden and just have fun and get to know him. Right?

Caden grinned, nodding. "Guess so," He mused softly, wondering if she knew about Carmen or not. Though he had only broken up with her... two months ago. His smile dimmed at the thought, as he knew she still texted sometimes---wondering how America was going without her.

Iris's mind wandered a little and she remembered her mother. She usually called her daughter once a month or so, and, if Iris remembered correctly, the last time had been five weeks ago. She was due for a 'check-up'. Great. That meant more questions about parties she didn't go to and boyfriends she didn't have. She glanced at Caden. Then again, maybe she did have one. Even so, she wasn't about to tell her mother. Iris motioned for Caden to sit in her desk chair and took a seat on her bed, not sure what to do next.

Caden sat, his keys falling out of his pocket once again since the first tutoring session. He reached and grabbed the lanyard, fidgeting with it while attempting to not be annoying. The man studied Iris as she seemed to zone out, curious as to what was on her mind. "What's on your mind?" He finally asked, seeing as she stared off.

Iris didn't mind the light clinking of the keys in the background as she thought. In that short amount of time she'd gotten so used to the silence that when Caden spoke, she jumped a little bit. "Oh, just... My family." She didn't want to say more than that and hoped Caden wouldn't ask, but expected him to.

He nodded, flicking his gaze somwhere else to focus on. Caden thought back to his own family, his mother's pale form on her deathbed, the shouts and curses coming from his father... as long as his eldest brother. The way Viktor had been so... angry after he got into a yelling match with his father and how just an hour later---he was dead. The man found himself missing Izza and Viktor, though he was glad to get away from Jason and Alexi.

(brain just died lol sorry) . Iris noticed Caden's gaze staring off as he remembered something. "Are you okay?" She asked softly.

xD no worries) "Yeah just... remembering some things I wish I didn't have to." He murmured, flicking his gaze back at her.
