Camery grinned when he agreed, not really clocking the seriousness on his face. She held his face in her hands, moving to press a quick kiss to his lips, the movment soft and affectionate.
She turned away to start getting showered and dressed, but his comment caught her off guard. "What?" She asked curiously. Why would she have to keep her eyes closed? She looked back at him curiously, a bit of a pout across her face. "Is this about you wanting to sleep naked? Because even my maid saw you and you didn't bat an eye," she trailed off a little with a bit of a laugh, clearly just teasing.
Her expression became more serious though, suddenly really intrigued. "Why can't I open my eyes?" She asked her brows slightly furrowed. "And why do you need to trust me for it?" It was a little concerning to her... the point was to spend time with her boyfriend, and she obviously wanted to at least see him. |

Camery Valatieri - Camery looked a little confused for a moment when he went serious, her brows pinching together. "I was joking," she murumured softly. She was just messing around, but she couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by him for just a split second.
She nodded slowly, letting out a soft breath when he practically begged her for this. She didn't like it one bit... something about it all just felt so off. But, she did want to spend a bit of time with him, relax for a while. "Alright," she muttered softly, flashing him a soft smile. "Let me just go get showered and settle down," she whispered. She didn't give him much of a chance for an opinion, but the truth of it was that by the time she'd gotten out the shower and changed it was still light outside. She flopped on the bed before giving a heavy sigh. She invited him over once he was ready, the sun slowly starting to dip beyond the horizon. The gold lines spread across her body were growing lighter, fading away with the sun. She raised a brow at him, still curous. "Why do I have to close my eyes," she asked gently as she curled up. |

Camery searched his eyes for a moment, though let out a soft breath and nodded slowly. She wasn't sure about all this... it scared her a little. She didn't like the begging or the secrecy. She sighed softly and moved to press a soft kiss to his lips, her eyes soft. "Okay," she murmured quietly. She was drowsy as it was anyway... it probably wouldn't be long until she passed out. She did trust him, too, so she supposed it would be okay. He was her bodyguard, her boyfriend. He wouldn't do anything to harm her. She let out a heavy breath and closed her eyes as requested, wrapping her arms around him tightly. |

The sensation lingered, and a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, though she couldn’t quite shake the feeling of vulnerability his closeness stirred in her. His arms around her were a steady comfort, the rhythm of his breath so calm, so assured. In his presence, she felt safe. His words, gentle and full of affection, made her heart flutter in ways she wasn’t sure she could explain. The sincerity in his voice stirred something deep inside her, something she hadn’t quite recognized before. He was everything she could have dreamed of—caring, protective, and perfect in his own quiet way. She wanted to believe in it, in him, but there was a heaviness in the air, a seriousness that she couldn’t ignore. It was like he was balancing on the edge of something, as though every word might cause the world to come crashing down if he didn’t get it right. A shiver ran down her spine, an anxious twist in her chest. She exhaled softly and leaned into him, her fingers gently tracing the familiar lines of his lower back a subtle attempt to ground them both. What was happening? There was a pressure building in the room, an unspoken tension. It was only when her hand brushed against something unfamiliar that the air seemed to thicken even more. Her fingers encountered something warm, textured, leathery—something that shouldn’t have been there. She pulled away instinctively, blinking her eyes open at his soft command. She stared at him, her gaze drawn to the tattoos etched into his neck, the intricate design of wings that seemed to ripple across his skin like shadows. A breath caught in her throat, and her mind raced to make sense of the reality unfolding before her. Night kingdom? Her heart skipped, panic bubbling up inside her. What was he doing here? Why had he come to her like this, acting as though there were no secrets between them? Her pulse quickened as fear seeped into her every thought, and the warm comfort she'd felt just moments ago turned to ice. She scrambled away from him, retreating to the edge of the bed, her mind buzzing in confusion and alarm. She couldn’t process it, couldn’t understand why he was here or why it felt so wrong. This wasn’t him. Not anymore. Her chest tightened with a frantic sense of dread as she faced him, unwilling to turn her back. Her breath felt too loud in the stillness between them, every quiet swallow feeling like a thunderclap. She wasn’t sure what she feared, but the unease was undeniable. All the affection she had once felt seemed distant now, overshadowed by the growing uncertainty that she couldn't seem to shake. Fear had taken root, and she didn’t know how to make it go away. |

Camery Valatieri - The woman flinched when a hand came towards her, and her hand found a doornob. She was so silent, so still. Scared that the world would come crashing down if she moved too quick. She was terrified. It was clear she was terrified. "You're..." she trailed off, not sure what she was going to say. Not sure what he was going to do. He knew what she thought of the night kingdom. He knew how scared she was of them. He was one. He'd lied to her, found a way to get her to trust him, love him. Now, it was the middle of the night and she had no idea what he was planning. |
