Sage wasn't sure how to respond to the girl's question, and let out a sort of sigh. He'd go back to his old life...and it wasn't something he wanted her part of. She'd only get involved in things that would hurt her. He didn't want that. "I'm going back to the Middle East," he noted quietly after a moment. "I don't know when I'll be back," he added. Deployment back into the war going on over there seemed like something that would happen, and it would be years worth of time.

Ally's steps slowed to a shocked stop. "What..?" Her voice was soft, her eyes locked onto his as she tried to convey the sadness she felt at the news. "Why?" She looked away then pushed down the emotions. Why was she so shocked? He had said before that he hated it here, so why would he stay? And why was she so sad? It wasn't like he was actually her friend or anything. She was just his job. Her face hardened slightly as she pushed her emotions down. "Well... congrats? I guess?" She scuffed her oe along the ground, not daring to look at him.

Sage offered her a small smile, though it fell pretty quickly. "I don't really get a day in the matter," he pointed out softly. Though, it was clear it saddened both of them that he'd be gone. "If I ever get a leave I'll come visit, yeah," he noted, attempting to find some good. It wasn't likely he'd ever see her again but....oh how he wanted to. They were quiet for a few seconds before he sort of blurted. "My name's Sage," to her, then quickly followed up with, "if...if I don't make it back, i want someone to at least remember me." It was almost shyly, and a light blush painted his face as he spoke. "I like Scar but....you're really the only person I know out here so...." He trailed off then, not really sure what else to say.

Ally looked down at her feet. It was supposed to be such a joyful day, though she felt anything but happy. "I'll always be Ally. That'll never change." She smiled a little, a sad look in her eyes. She looked over to where her stuff was waiting, and she sighed, her gaze turning back up to Sage. "Well, Sage, I hope we see each other again soon." Before she could stop herself, Ally reached up and kissed his cheek. She quickly scrambled backward, blushing and turning away without another word. She pressed her lips together as she walked toward her stuff, claiming what was hers then risking a glance to where they had been standing.

Sage offered her a smile and a nod. "I know where to find you," he chirped. He was caught off guard when she pecked his cheek, but couldn't help the grin that spread itself across his face, despite the redness that also formed on his face. He watched her go, lifting a hand in farewell, before she'd put her things in the car and they headed off. Soon the car was gone, and he let out a quiet breath. Time to blow this joint.

Ally was smiling to herself as she tossed her stuff into the back of her Mom's car. She waved back to Sage then got in the car. Her mother was yapping about what had changed since she had been in prison and everything that was going to change now that she back, but Ally wasn't listening to a thing. Her brain was too busy spinning at the fact that, one, she liked someone who she most likely wouldn't see ever again, two, she had just kissed him, and three, he didn't react the way she thought he would. Ally fought the urge to sigh like a teenage girl. She bit her lip and stared out the window at the world around her. She was finally going home, but a part of her was still sad. She already missed Sage even though they had just split ways. Ally pushed that thought away because today was a good day, and she was going to make it stay that way no matter what

Once alley was out of sigh for good, sage sighed heavily, turning back to the prison and calling one of the numbers on speed dial. All he said was "it's go time" before moving to go sit at his trailer until the mayhem started. They'd wait two days, then attack. It gave everyone time to prepare, but a few days to allow the extra guards that were brought in for the trial to go home. Those few days passed quickly, and honestly the fight seemed to drag on once they got there. It was all just a blur ...and for whatever reason, he couldn't help but feel bad about it. Alley would probably hate him for this. He wasn't sure why he cared, but he cared. More than he'd like to admit. So, once the fight was done and the place had been leveled, he made his escape back to the streets he'd called home. Or...as close to home as he'd get. He cleaned up his wounds, and then took a deep breath, attempting to decide what on earth he'd do now.

Ally had gotten home, and settled in for the next few days, trying to remember what life was like as a normal human being. She sat at her dest, fiddling with her pencil before deciding to go for a walk with her parent's new dog, Josie. Alleyah clipped the leash to her collar and began her slow, easy walk down the sidewalk. Josie yipped a little then looked up at Ally. She giggled then leaned down to pet her. Josie suddenly lept forward, barking at something in the shadows. Ally held the large dog with all her might, but the leash slipped from her grasp. "Josie!" She cried into the darkness, silently cursing at herself for forgetting to bring her phone. "Josie! Where are you?" She started running down the sidewalk, whistling a little here and there. "Crap! Josie where are you-" She froze and squinted to look into the shadowed alley she had passed. "Who's there?" She asked as a figure moved.

Sage had made his escape from the tavern he'd managed to get a job at. It wasn't much really... He spent most of his days in a drunk stupor, the occasional pit fight and then waking up in someone's bed, unsure how exactly he'd gotten there. Tonight, he'd managed to escape getting dragged off with someone, and had flopped in an alley somewhere, bottle in hand. He'd been sitting there a while, though when he noticed the dog nudging him, he collected enough brain power to reach out and pat it.

Ally stepped forward when Josie came bounding back to her. "Josie" She shook her head then grabbed the leash. Josie pulled toward the figure again, forcing Ally to move closer. "Sorry about my dog." She said, her hand gripping the leash. "Wait-" Her eyes widened when she recognized the scar on the man's face. "Sage?" She asked, kneeling down in front of him and pulling the bottle out of his hand. "Sage what happened? Are you alright?"
