Sage found Maxine in the cafeteria pretty easily. Not just because he could smell everyone in the room and pick out her scent but she was talking to the waiter so he could hear her as he walked in. He snuck up behind Max, looking at the waiter, winking and putting a finger to his lips, as if telling her to be quiet. Once he got behind Maxine, he looked over her shoulder with a grin on his face. "Planning it all out already," he asked in a completely innocent voice, as if he didn't just sneak up behind her. |

Max and the waitress were still chatting when Sage came in the young women said nothing about Sage she just gave him a subtle thumbs up as the two continued talking. When he scared her Max jumped letting out a mild yelp as she shrugged her shoulders rather quickly hitting him in the jaw "Oh God Sage!" She helped spinning around in her chair and lowering herself onto the floor "Oh geez Sage... I'm so sorry..." She whimpered fearing he'd be upset at her again this time it was an accident she really hadn't meant to hurt him. The waitress was trying to hold back a laugh "Oh geez are you alright?" She asked trying to stifle her laughter. |

Sage was too busy laughing to respond so he just nodded and waved off their concern at first. "I'm alright. I probably should have thought that through a bit better," he chuckled as he sat down next to Maxine. It hadn't hurt, and he knew she didn't mean it. Besides, he knew she was gonna jump so he should have raised his head a bit more so that one was on him. He cocked his head and looked at her sketches more closely, still laughing a bit. "They do look good." |

Max breathed a sigh of relief when he told her he was okay kissing him gently "Yeah probably..." She said laughing before she sat back in her seat and smiled "Thanks... I guess I've got baby on the brain..." She blushed "It's normal..." The waitress chuckled "So what can I get you guys?" She asked. |

Sage glanced at Maxine, waiting for her to order before he did. He sat back in his chair, lounging confidently with his hands behind his head, trying to play the part of the gothic/emo guy. It honestly wasn't that hard, he had the personality type for it. While they waited for their food, he wondered when he should propose. It wasn't really a question of why but when. He smiled slightly. Roxie would get so annoyed when he did it. He was sure she was cackling with glee when they fought, but everything since then would have annoyed her so much. She was probably going to get mad and hurt him but it would be totally worth it |

Max blushed lightly "Order whatever you want." the waitress assured "No judgement here, you're eating for two now." she giggled. "Right..." Max said nodding happily "Uhmm..." she said looking at the menu her eyes widening when she found something that appealed to her "Blueberry pancakes please... with whipped cream and a side of strawberries..." she chirped happily "Alright then!" she chirped "And you sir?" she asked curiously. Once she'd gotten Sage's order she left them. Max was blushing heavily "Sorry i'm hungry..." she chuckled softly "Er I guess I should say we're hungry..." Roxie was FURIOUS she was having a hard time remaining hidden, she couldn't believe they'd made up so quickly... not only that but the extra energy from Maxine being a child!? And now he was thinking of proposing!? Damn it... |

Sage laughed and kissed her cheek lightly. "Eat as much as you need. You're pregnant." He grinned at her. "Besides, pancakes are amazing." He tapped his fingers on the table, making up a random beat as he tried to figure out how he wanted to word the proposal so he had something ready when it was time. But all he could think about was how mad Roxie must be right now. |

Max giggled softly "Okay okay." she chuckled "And yes... they are though I've never liked blueberry ones they just sounded so freakng good..." she admitted happily nuzzling into him being sure to get his sweet spot before she backed off "I love you... both of you." she cooed putting a hand on her belly again with a small laugh. When the waitress retured with their food however she moved her sketchbook aside and was quick to start devouring her breakfast. She looked over at Sage and smiled "Whats wrong?" she asked curiously between bites her eyebrows knitting together in concern "Worried about Roxie?" she asked. |

He gasped softly when she hit his sweet spot and when he could talk again he smiled at her and shook his head. "more along the lines of reveling in the fact that she's probably furious we fought and made up. And that you're pregnant." He shrugged. "She's been trying to break us up for a while " |

She smirked playfully before nodding "Yeah probably..." she said thinking for a moment "Is that why you got so upset when you saw me with that guy from the store?" she asked genuinely curious "Cause she said something to you?" |
