"Kayla!" He yelped, stalling for a moment before continuing. "SCREW IT, Love you too!" Gale called, scowling as he sprinted off.

Kayla kept running until rain began to fall and she couldn't hear a thing besides the cold, wet drops pellting her face and arms. I shouldn't have run off....What if he's caught? She thought, her mind spiraling as she couldn't hear the group of guards behind her stopped form

Gale staggered back on, continuing until he found a tavern offering vacancy. He staggered in, tossing a few coins up on the counter before he went to the room and sat on the edge of the bed, nothing but worry on his face.

Kayla stood there, beginning to cry as the guards crept up and grabbed her. SHe screamed in fury and fear, trying to turn and attack them but her knives were taken and she was pinned. "Well, hello princess." A familiar voice sneered, her turning and seeing the prince she'd been promised to smirking and looking down at her. He lifted her head up by her chin and chuckled. "Thought you could run, hm?" He taunted, releasing her face but smacking her. "Let's get her home, boys." He chuckled darkly as she was hauled to her feet and shoved in the direction of the castle

Gale broke down, ordering drink after drink after drink until he blacked out, taking the edge off of things.

Kayla walked for what felt like hours and whenever she showed any sign of pausing or a defiant look toward the prince, she was either kicked, slapped, or punched as 'punishment'. She scoffed once and she was shoved to the ground. SHe wondered what her cussing-like-a-sailor would get her and she was curious to find out. She sighed, experimenting, and they did nothing to her. She smirked and dramatically sighed the whole way before the fear returned to her eyes and she was shoved into a room much like the one she had seen in her dream. SHe heard the outside lock click into place and she was alone-utterly and fearfully alone. She sighed, this time genuinely, and began banging on the door. SHe didn't know what she was screaming, but it was Gale's name. She begged for him to come to her, tears eventually rolling down her face

Eventually the law came and took him, and Gale let them, didn't say a word the entire time. The guards looked at eachother, taking him softer then they had any other time and not yelling at him once as he willingly walked into the cell and sank to the wall, bringing his knees to his chest and staying like that for days, sometimes crying, sometimes stone straight.

Kayla was left in the room for a few days, her voice hoarse every now and then but never fully giving out as she screamed Gale's name. The prince had tried to reason with her a few times, only to get Kayla screaming and attacking him

Eventually one of them snuck him out, Gale simply just walking out. He had no idea where Kayla was, and he was truly scared for her. The man made his way to hide in the woods, not even Varys bringing him joy.

As the days and weeks and months blurred together, and she eventually married the prince, Kayla learned to be silent. She thought of her days with her lost love often, but if she ever spoke of him or said his name, she was hit. She was supposed to bear the new king a child but she'd been hot-headed and difficult and made it so the king didn't get anything from her. Her heart didn't belong to him and it never had-she only loved her one and only she'd never see again. "I hate you!" She screamed at the king one night, making him beat her and cause scars all over her body
