Sage just nestled in next to Remy, moving to feel around for his hand and entwine their fingers once he found it. "What's it like out there," he asked after a moment or so. "The ocean, I mean." He'd been swimming, of course, but there was a difference of where he could go and swim and where Remy literally lived.

Remy smiled, squeezing his hand. "Peaceful," he hummed softly. "The farther you go, the clearer it gets, more life in the deeper parts of the ocean. Its quiet and everyone is friendly. Nothings coming after you, us merpeople can mess with sharks and stuff like that because they're slow. Even orcas are nice and gentle with us. They know we won't bother them,"

Sage hummed softly and nodded. "Peaceful," he repeated softly. "I wish earth were like that," he added, without thinking about it as his mind wandered. War and killing and living on the streets....the ways people dealt with each other. Treated each other. It made him sick. The ocean seemed better. Nothing coming after you was foreign to him ....women, men, his father....he was always being messed with. But it seemed nice.

Remy smiled and hummed happily, stroking his side. "I'll take you out there sometime,"

Sage glanced over at him and cocked his head. "Really," he asked. "How...how would that work?" He could swim, but not out to sea, and he also couldn't breathe water. And he wouldn't have his prostatic on since the salt could mess things up.

"Well we wouldn't be under for too long and I can store oxygen in my lungs to transfer to you while I use my gills,"

Sage hummed in thought, nodding along. "Alright," he agreed. "That sounds doable," he added. Remys legs had reformed by then, so he chuckled softly. "For now, let's get you inside and covered up, and we can work on dinner."

Remy smiled and nodded, getting up with him to move inside. He went off to put on some boxers and shorts, and then came back. "Can we watch the sunset tonight?" he asked.

Sage had moved to start dinner, and had stocked the meat up in the freezer except for the stuff he was cooking. He'd decided to cook it over a fire in the back, so by the time Remy found him, he already had it over a nice hot flame. He wiped sweat out of his eyes and nodded with a grin. "That would be fun," he noted. "We have some time though, so let me shower beforehand. I'm nasty and I'm not sure you want to touch me as it is, let alone be a romantic boyfriend and kiss me under the sunset," he noted, the last part mostly a joke. Mostly. But he had been expected to always be neat and looking good for the others so....he should for Remy too, right?

Remy smiled and nodded, "Okay," he chuckled, "Babe, you don't need to worry about that, I'd still kiss you if you rolled in shit," he teased.
