"I wouldn't say all of them, there's a few you've missed. Plus i'll complain about them either way, they're incredibly boring" Ella said with a slight laugh, shielding her eyes from the sun that seemed to have stayed settled right above them for a while though it was getting close to late evening. "Definitely" she said quietly, the same smile staying firmly on her lips. As they lay there and time went, the air seemed to be getting dim, and she turned her head towards Sage. "I know i've said this before but i'm definitely glad i have you to keep me company through this whole..being the queen stuff" she smiled, picking at her dress as she spoke, albeit slightly nervously.

Sage sort of squeaked when she started to apologize, shaking his head furiously and waving his hands. "No, no, it's fine," he yelped. In his own flustered state, he sort of just kept babbling....which admittedly only made him more flustered. "I don't mind. I mean, it's ok.i mean..." He paused for a moment, trying to collect his many thoughts. "I liked it," he finished quietly, face definitely tomato colored by then. But it was the truth wasn't it? What else should he say? Ella shook her head with a smile, picking at the blades of grass that settled by her head. "Not necessarily no" she replied, her gaze traveling from the grass to the water in the lake every couple of seconds. She was stuck deep in thought the whole time they spoke, though she didn't actually know what she was thinking about. The castle? The guards? Sage? She had no idea, but it was blocking her off from keeping the conversation flowing at all. "Likewise" She said softly, looking Sage in the eye. Her breath hitched slightly as she did so, though for once she kept her gaze instead of just tearing it away to aimlessly stare at something else. Seeing as she had no idea way to say she blurted out the first thing she could think of- a dumb question. "Are you okay?" she asked, her tone soft.

Sage had chuckled slightly at her response to the previous comment, though his brain had sort of just seemed to...stop working properly. All of a sudden, he could only think about her. How perfect she was. How glad he was to have her as his queen. That sort of thing. Her comment hit his head though soon enough and he cleared his throat before nodding. "Yeah," he hummed, keeping the same quiet tone as her. What was wrong with them? This sort of thing hadn't happened before. Then again, he never let them make eye contact for too long with her. But for right now, he was more than happy to just ....stay where he was. It was weird. But he didn't not like it.

"Mhm, I hope so" Ella said quietly with a smile, holding the eye contact with Sage for a lot longer than she had planned. It was one of the first times she had really..scanned him, as bad as that sounded. Not that she was complaining. Before Ella could actually pick up on her own actions she leant forward and very gently pressed her lips to his, though she had every thought to pull away immediately in case Sage didn't feel the same.

Sage couldn't help the flush that spread across his face when he heard her comment. Before his brain could process how he should respond to that, the girl had leaned over and kissed him. He felt the blush deepen, though he found himself leaning into her touch slightly. He certainly didn't find it a bad thing. Which was most certainly a first. She'd pulled back soon enough, though he was admittedly left slightly breathless and just....staring at her, wide eyed. But it was more of a wow face than anything bad. He hoped she knew that, because he was struggling to form words.

Ella looked Sage in the eye after she had pulled away, a soft smile spread across her face. She knew it hadn't been easy for him to trust at all after taking over from her aunt, so the amount of trust he seemed to have for her right now made her feel..proud. In her awkward, slightly flustered state she again blurted out the first thing that had come to mind, and of course that was an apology. "Uh-sorry. I mean, I hope that was..okay. Yeah" she said, the slight nerves taking over.

Sage was admittedly quite flustered by the time she had pulled away, but at her comments he shook his head furiously, waving his hands around too. "No," he yelped before trying to actually for a sentence. "It's ok. I mean....is fine. I mean.....I don't mind. It's...," He sort of stopped sputtering for a moment, trying to sort out all the crazy thoughts swirling through his mind. "I liked it," he finally settled on, blush deepening. But what else was he supposed to say.? How else to describe it? Besides, she'd obviously wanted him to like it, so it wasn't like he was risking anything. Well, that was a lie....he was risking a lot of they were to get into a relationship....but he was willing. If that was what she wanted.

Ella let out a small laugh at Sages struggle to speak, looking down at the grass as she waited for him to finish speaking. "I'm glad it was okay" she said, her heart still racing as she hauled herself up from lying down, bringing her feet away from the lake. "We should get back soon I think." she smiled, the thoughts of the most recent event spinning through her head. It was an incredibly risky move for both of them, but sometimes risk was rewarding..right?

Sage chuckled, mostly just at how absolutely flustered they both were, before smiling and nodding. "I think that's a good idea," he mused, glancing at the sun. "It's around dinner time already," he pointed out with a shrug. He was definitely happy though. Nervous too, that went without saying, but he did trust Ella and he couldn't deny that he was smitten with the girl. She was just perfect, really....and he couldn't ask for a better queen. And if she actually grew to love him too....it was a dream practically that was coming true. He didn't want to hope for too much, but he found himself hoping for this.
