Ajax stayed still and did not speak for a while, letting the pain subside into a gentle throbbing. If you could call it that. "Don't be... you helped." He commented shortly, usuing less words so he could continue to regain the breath he had been attempting to hold through the pain. Ajax let his head drop slightly, forcing his breathing into slower gasps. He also tried to tell his fists to unclench since his fingers were numb, but they didn't listen very well. -Great, now I have crab-claw hands- Ajax thought grumpily

She ran a worried hand through her hair, sighing. "I hope so. I can do the rest some other time, you're in no shape for me to take care of the other ones." Mercy said, standing and gathering her things, putting them on the bedside table.

Ajax mentally groaned, glancing at Mercy with pained eyes. "I can take it, I'd much rather you get it all done at once then doing little bits at a time." He pleaded. -Or stay in this place any longer- Ajax thought. He just wanted to leave, to curl up in a lonely cave somewhere or in a tree, to have the scent of nature drifting around him, to ride a thestral... something.

Mercy watched him hesitantly. "Are you sure?" She tilted her head at him, pausing. "Because its gonna hurt. Alot. But if you really want me to..." She huffed, crossing her arms and watching him anxiously.

Ajax sighed slightly. "I know it's going to hurt a lot, what do you think I've been feeling?" He half-heartedly joked, looking at her again. "Just do it. I'd rather be healed with extreme pain... then no more. Not big bursts of pain here and there." He stated, his body tense.

She sighed in frustration. "Alright." She gently moved to sit in front of him, trying to kove as quickly as possible. She was fast, and she really was trying her best to hurt him as little as possible. It ended up taking her about ten minutes to fix up everyone of his wounds, and her hands were trembling by the time she was done.

Aaaand then the real agony started. If Ajax thought what Mercy had done hurt... he should reconsider. Bolts of lightning hot pain shot through him at the same time as waves of agony. His head was blaring alarm signals (inside) that he was probably dying, and his vision swam and started to go black. Ajax sat like a brick through it all, the muscles that weren't ripped and torn so tight they cramped, but it wasn't like he noticed that small pain among the many others. After Mercy was done he half flopped half fell back on the bed with a quiet moan, st a ring up at the ceiling and willing his vision to go from black to ... visible.

She winced as he fell, trying to help him lay down gently. "What do you need?" She asked quietly, trying her best to make him comfortable. She tossed her medical supplies on the bedside table, fluffing the pillow under his head and lifting the blanket to cover him. She watched him anxiously for a few more moments, fiddling with her hands.

Ajax was tired, sore, pained, and had lost will... and strength... so he didn't move when Mercy did what she did. He blinked his eyes and tried to get the darkness to retreat from the corners of his eyes, taking in slow, shuddering, shallow breaths. "Rest... most likely.." He answered, grimacing at even the thought of talking. Moving his jaw moved his neck and that twinged his shoulder and his arm... and so on.
