Regan furrowed her brows at the boy before following him back towards the cabin, keeping her eyes on him, her eyes not even leaving him for a second... she was just scared something would happen to him, she really was she wanted him to be happy, and of course safe. "If you've been bitten or something and go rabid, we're not going to be friends," she told him in a half-kind of jokey tone. Once they got to the cabin, she sat him down and gently placed a hand on his chin, moving it from side to side as she looked over him. "What were you thinking about?" She asked as she went to pick up a glass of water for him... she'd let him go to sleep in a bit.

Tyler snorted. "I'm sure that won't happen." He said, allowing himself to be pushed into the chair. he sighed. "Different things. Mostly my past." He said slowly, looking out the window. He decided that even though he loved nature... it was much safer in here. Tyler looked at Regan. "A lot about my father, some about when I was in school... and a little about what I said happening... like the camp burning down."

Regan sighed softly to the boy before furrowing her brows. "Promise? I can't tell you how worried I was," she murmured after a few moments. She could understand why he was upset about his camp... everything there were things he knew. He had every reason to be upset about it. "You want to talk to me about it," she asked before sitting next to him, gently playing with his hair in a way she hoped would be comforting... she was trying to be quieter, and stop taking jabs at him... she just wanted him to be happy with her. She dreaded the fact that he might be upset because she was there.

Tyler looked at her, his eyes twinkling. "Is this the hardest you have ever tried to be nice and quiet?" He teased, chuckling. "Plus.. that's really not the most enjoyable subject. If you want to talk my ear off, go right ahead." He smiled slightly, knowing he would regret this later... but not really caring.

Regan looked at him with a slightly cocked head. "...No," she lied, a soft sigh escaping her. "You said you wanted me to be quiet," she told him after a few moments. Her chest hurt as she said that... she'd always been very loud, even as a child, so being told she effectively shut her mouth hurt the tiniest of bits, it really did. She was a bit nervous now, not wanting to make him upset at all. "I don't want to make you leave," she then whispered as she went to get him a blanket to wrap up in.

"I can tell you're lying." He chuckled quietly, sitting back in the chair. "I didn't really mean it... it's fine if you talk." He said quietly, feeling slightly bad. At her last comment his eyes grew sad. "Oh Regan... I'm sorry. I would never leave you, no matter how much you annoyed me or made me angry. Don't ever worry about that." He murmured, feeling... terrible that she ever thought that way. -Gosh... this isn't why I didn't want to get mad at her...- he thought with a wince

Regan shook her head at him after a few moments, returning to him with a blanket and handing it to him... she wanted him to be comfortable. She could tell he was sorry, but it didn't make her feel any better about it. "It's alright," she murmured to him. She was still a bit quiet but tried a bit of a smile. She disappeared into the room in the back and came out with a radio. "I know you don't want to, but I think it really would be good for us to find some more people... we're not safe just the two of us," she eventually sighed.

Tyler quietly sat there, watching Regan move around. He felt slightly winded... but other than that he had healed great. Tyler watched Regan, raising an eyebrow as she came back out with a radio. He didn't really want to voice his fears... but knew he should, if they were going to find more people. "... I understand how you feel... but if we do find more people... we get to know them.. and then something happens to them... I would be heartbroken. Whoever we go with... I feel like they should be under my protection..." Tyler trailed off, his eyes showing hurt and pain... many years of being abused, many years of just wanting to help others and being turned down, or mocked. He took a shallow, shuddering breath. "But you're right... I guess we do need to find other people..." he said quietly, looking down at the floor

(It might be a fun plotline to have them meet up with other people. Maybe one of them (maybe Regan?) becomes really quite close with someone else in the group. We could have a bit of a jealousy plot if you'd like... idk, could be cool. We could also have something go wrong in the group, say they find out this other group as quite malicious. I don't know, thought it would be fun!) . Regan tried to read his face as he processed her suggestion but eventually sighed when he explained why he was so worried about all of this... it made sense. He wanted to protect everyone. She did too, but she'd hate herself if she couldn't protect him if something went wrong too... there was a lesser chance of that happening if they were all together. She turned the radio on and tried to listen in before wandering over to him. "Listen... I know you're worried, and I know why, but we can't live like this... I can't live like this," she whispered quietly. She needed to be around people... she really had to be. "We'll both be alright, hm? Nothing that happens from now on is your fault," she told him gently, running her hand through his hair, then leaning forwards to press a friendly kiss to his cheek. "We'll be just fine," she promised the boy.

(I was just thinking that too. The only thing: at this moment it looks as if (unless I'm reading it wrong.. but my character is just like this) Regan is more into Tyler's than Tyler is into Regan. He is just like that... where he doesn't really realize it. He sees everyone as friends, unless they say differently. So it might be better if there is a girl that's into Tyler... and Regan is jealous. But either way could work, now that I think about it. Also, the other idea is cool too.) - Tyler nodded. "You're right. Whatever is better for you." He said quietly, taking a deep breath. "I know we will Ben fine..." he trailed off, thinking. This would be another hard transition... a lot had happened. First he went from a one man squad to a one man one women squad. Then they went from the forest to a cabin. Then the fires turned burned down... and now they would be going from the cabin to another cabin/forest/town to meet more people.. maybe 1 or 2 or 3... they really didn't know.
