Lorelei just clung onto him, sniffling every now and then. "Kai... I dont wanna right now... Im sorry..." she whispered.

"I'm not trying to do that, baby. I'm just trying to comfort you, take your mind off everything for now." He said, holding her tight. "It's gonna be okay"

She sniffled but nodded, "Okay," she whispered.

"I promise, I'm here for you forever"

She nodded, "I know, " she breathed, relaxing a bit.

He rubbed her back, slightly rocking as his own mind raced

Lorelei clung onto him. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"I'm fine, baby. Just worried about you, that's all" he said truthfully
