She nodded, agreeing andleading him to the living room. She sat down and gently patted the space beside her with a fuzzy blanket

He hesitated for a split second, but sat down next to her. He took the blanket and laid it over them both. He still wasn't totally comfortable that he had broken his promise to himself, but Emma was happy and wasn't like the girls he'd dated before... So hopefully it'd be different this time.

"If you're not comfortable, you can have your own couch and blanket...?" She said, misreading his emotions.

Ben shook his head. "Nah, I'm all good. Thanks." He didn't really watch the movie as it played, just thought and watched Emma. Though he hadn't know it, he had liked her ever since they first met. Now that she knew he liked her, he didn't really know how to act. He hadn't had a real, healthy crush in a long time, and he was both excited and scared at the same time. It was also true that he hadn't officially asked her to be a thing, but from the way she'd reacted to his kiss it seemed like she got it. Maybe. Hopefully. He wasn't great with words so it would be nice if she already understood...

Emma watched the movie, eventually falling asleep on his shoulder, completely relaed

Ben put an arm around her and turned the movie volume down, watching it for a little while before drifting off as well.

Emma slept for a while but woke in the middle of the night, watching Ben with awe and wonder

Ben slept peacefully, no dreams troubling him in the night.

Emma fell back asleep for the bight

Ben woke up and opened his eyes slowly. He saw Emma curled into him and was surprised at first. Then he remembered yesterday and calmed. He wanted to get up but also didn't want to wake her, so he stayed there, looking out the big window, watching the red sun peek over the top of a hill, slowly climbing upward into the sky.
