Lorelei pushed him away, crying silently. "...stop, I can do it," she whispered shakily. She washed her hair and washed her body silently. There were countless things that were bothering her right now. Everyone in that room saw her naked, blood got on her books, her ankle really hurt, she had to hurt that man to get him to leave her alone...

"Are you alright? I'm here for you...." He said softly, slightly hurt as he gave her as much space as the shower allowed. "I'm gonna go sit on your bed...sorry for assuming..." He said, his eyes not on her for her sake as he got out, dried off, and sat on her bed. His arms were across his chest and he felt like if he looked away from the bathroom door, she would get attacked or worse...

"I'm fine..." she sniffled. She cried in the shower, just getting everything out. Eventually she got out of the shower, drying off and pulling on her clothes. She came out of the bathroom, still not feeling safe in her own home. Lorelei noticed that he'd done his best to clean up the blood, but her books were still stained red. "... can we just go for a drive?" she asked. She just had to get out of here.

"Of course. Anything for you." He said, not meeting her eyes. He led her to the car, not bothering to put on a shirt but grabbing her his clean sweatshirt. He handed it to her, opening her door and getting into the driver's seat. He started the car, shutting off the headlights and rolling down the windows. He smiled faintly, offering her his hand but still wary of her state. He blazed down the highway, no other cars in sight. "I'll always protect you. You know that, right?" He asked softly

Lorelei pulled his hoodie on, getting into his car. She took his hand, just watching as the landscape flew by as they drove. She nodded, "I know," she whispered. He had kept to his word, he had protected her today, but she still felt so violated that those men had just broken in and tried to kill them during a sweet moment between the two of them.

"I'll hunt every man that dared to come into that room to the ends of the earth and they will beg for something as sweet as death. I promise." He said softly, a slight growl tinting his voice at the end as his anger flared again. He didn't realize, but his grip had tightened on her hand and his face blanched. "I'm so sorry, did I hurt you?" He asked, suddenly panicked

Lorelei just looked out the window. She didn't like his words. She knew that he meant well, but she didn't want anyone to suffer or die, she just wanted people to be kind to each other. Stirring the pot wasn't going to help. Obviously, Kai didn't understand that. "No, I'm fine," she muttered, drawing her hand back, folding her hands together in her lap.

"Baby, what's wrong?" He asked, pulling over to the side of the road. "Talk to me"

"Nothing, I'm fine," she insisted, still looking out the window.

"Lorelei...Talk to me, please." He said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "If you don't tell me what's wrong, I can't help you." He said softly, getting out and going to her side. He unbuckled her, picked her up bridal-style, and set her on the hood of his car. He placed his hand on either side of her thighs, searching her eyes. "Did I do something?"
