It didn't help Morgan's blush as he listed everything. Everything. It all seemed so surreal. He said he'd try and ignore her thoughts, but the truth of it was that she'd love to know exactly what was going on in his head. Evething he was thinking. She smiled as he wrapped his fingers around hers, and moved to press her lips back to his. She leaned into him, her chest pressing softly against his. She could feel the way his abs moved against her, the soft shifting of his muscles as her hand rested on his forearm, the other wrapped tightly around his hand. She wanted to protect him from everything... school, his parents... god, she'd never even met them and she wanted to take him away from this house. "Oh, you promise do you?" She asked playfully.

"If you tell me to ignore them, i'll try." He vowed, kissing her again softly. "So yes, I promise" He added after a moment. "You trust me, don't you?" He asked, worried

Morgan smiled to him, moving to run a hand through his hair. He looked so... worried about it. He seemed like he was always walking on eggshells. She sighed softly, and moved to grab the outfit she'd stolen off him and put it back on. It just seemed like he was worrying more than he was enjoying himself, and that's not what she wanted. She came and sat back next to him, her hands cupping his cheeks softly. "Caleb, baby," she started her voice gentle, reassuring. "Of course I trust you," she hummed, flashing him another smile. "I was just playing around," she mused.

Caleb sighed and got dressed, angry with himself he'd ruined whatever she had wanted to do. He stayed away from her thoughts, as promised, but still really wanted to listen in. He decided to keep his promise, as he usually did, unless she said otherwise. He nodded silently at her when she said she was only playing around. He looked in her eyes, still not able to get over them. "You're so beautiful" He murmured softly, placing a hand on hers and bringing it off his face. He interlaced their hands again, moving to lay down again. He thought about any upcoming homework he may have to distract himself from listening to her thoughts. Caleb sighed, not remembering any and slightly being dissappointed he didn't have anything major to distract him from her and her thoughts. He took his free hand and rubbed her back softly, trying to provide silent comfort. After a while, he took that hand and wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her to him and spooning her. "What are you thinking about?" He asked, having not intruded on her thoughts.

Morgan hummed when he said she was beautiful, and shook her head with a soft chuckle. She'd never get used to the compliments. She didn't want him to ever be worried when he was with her. It was why she wanted to take things slowly, make sure he was comfortable. He was always on egg shells, always worried that he'd say or do something. Two times, now, he'd just walked away because he'd thought he'd done something, and he never had. She looked back at him when he wrapped an arm around her, and smiled softly, wrapping her fingers around his. "Your far too nice to me," she mused, leaning in to press a soft kiss to his lips before settling down. "You're just as handsome." His hand on her back was a comfort... it seemed to be more like a habit than anything, and all she could do was smile at it. It was sweet. He was sweet, and he'd done nothing but look after her. Driving her around, saving her from parties, having dinner with her. He'd been nothing but perfect this whole time. She looked back at him after a few seconds, hre eyes doey. "Have you ever had to ask anyone that before?" She asked curiously, a small chuckle escaping her. She then shrugged softly. "You." She stated simply, then continued. "Do you trust me? You're always so flighty," she murmured softly. She turned to gave him, placing a soft hand on his cheek. "You can read my mind, but I can't read yours. I need you to tell me things... if you're ever uncomfortable, or you're struggling with anything, I need you to let me know," she whispered.

"It's.....complicated. With my kind of childhood, it becomes automatic to go and hide when you did something wrong. I've had too many people yell at me or hurt me when I say or do such minor things. I'm not meaning to say that I think you'll hurt me, it just comes automatically to me." He explained quietly, placing his hand on hers. He wasn't wearing a long-sleve shirt, and his scars caught in the light, casting small shadows for each unique ridge and divet. He sighed. "Of course I trust you, I love you." He added after a moment. He knew he wouldn't want to be the kind of boyfriend who always ran to her and it seem like he was weak. Hardly anyone knew about his scars, his parents, or anything like that. His parents didn't even know he could read minds, so it was pretty huge that he'd told Morgan about it all so soon. She made him feel safe to say the least, and he felt happy when she was near him. He held her, thinking about his parents and how they'd react once they got home and found he had a girlfriend, sleeping over nonetheless. He sighed, closing his eyes and worrying all over again, his mind going in circles until he got a headache from it all. He was tired, but stayed awake for Morgan's benefit. He loved watching her slip into sleep and he could hold her a little tighter before falling asleep himself. She was right; he was being flighty and nervous, but he just did it automatically. He hoped he hadn't hurt her feelings at all by walking off a couple times and didn't dare break his promise by peeking into her mind.

Morgan nodded and listened quietly. If he needed to get things out, needed her to talk to, she was there, and always would be. All she wanted to do was keep him happy and safe. He needed her, or at least someone like her to keep him together. She didn't know how he did it. She would have crumbled years ago if she had his life. As much as she wanted to be able to read people's minds, she could only imagine how stressful it could be. Knowing what everyone was thinking about you? No thank you. "I get it, Caleb," she whispered, her thumb running softly over his cheek. "I really do, but if you ever feel overwhelmed, or if I ever do something that upsets you, or if you feel like somethings just not right... I want you to come to me," she whispered, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Come talk to me about it. We need to talk things out, not sit in it until it gets worse, yeah?" She asked him. She'd never see him as weak, or like he wasn't good enough. All he'd done since she'd met him was look after her. He'd been so brave, all of the time. Her eyes wandered to his arms, and softly ran her fingers along it, her fingers gliding over every bump with ease. "I've got you, Caleb, I do. I have your back if you need anything," she murmured softly. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, burying her head into his chest. "And I love you too. There's no reason to be worried about... well, anything I suppose, not when it comes to me," she then added, her eyes promising.

Caleb's eyes slowly opened, listening to her speak in her soft and adoring tone at him. When she tucked into his chest, he wrapped his arms around her, playing with her hair absentmindedly and still worrying about his parents. "They'll hurt you" He murmured, his voice slightly shaky with fear he couldn't protect her from everything. He would gladly kill his parents if they so much as touched her, but he hoped they'd never get that close. His thoughts spiraled into a million things that could go wrong if Morgan were there and if she weren't. She was fierce and loved him deeply, but he didn't want her there when his parents came home in case they got violent. He took a shaky breath, fear gripping him like chains as he felt a single tear roll down his cheek. He stayed silent, listening to her breathing as he tried to ignore the drop of fear that sat on his face.

Morgan shook her head at him, though felt a pang of worry run through her when she saw the tear run down his cheek. She shook her head again, gently wiping it away before curling back up again. "Well... I won't be here when they come home," she whispered softly. She then hugged him tighter. She hoped he wouldn't be, either. She hoped he'd come and stay with her, just for a little while. At least until he could get away from them. "Neither will you," she whispered. "And Caleb, if they lay a finger on you you come straight to mine," she muttered. All she wanted to do was look after him. Keep him safe, happy... although it was easier said than done. She purposely slowed her best hung down to help him calm, and flashed him a soft smile. "I mean it," she whispered, hugging him tighter. She wanted to get him help... get him away from these horrific people. But she knew she couldn't... not yet. It went quiet after that, her mind still racing as she let herself settle down, eventually slipping off to a sleep... she just hoped Caleb trusted her enough to relax around her.

Caleb nodded in response, rubbing her back comfortingly as she drifted off. He wanted so badly to listen in on her dream, but kept his promise of distancing his mind from hers. He sighed and buried his face in her hair, breathing in her scent and slowly relaxing. He closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep. He did, but he fell right into a nightmare. His parents barged through the front door while Morgan and Caleb were sitting on the couch. Caleb shushed Morgan with a finger, handing her the car keys as she darted off and Caleb walked to face his parents. He spotted them in the kitchen, muttering about him. "How much longer must he be here?" His mother demanded, hands on the counter in a frustrated pose. His father, arms crossed, rolled his eyes. "Less than 3 months. We have another trip planned next week, and he should be gone by the time we get back." The man said, his deep voice booming around the room and surrounding halls. Caleb walked out, into their view, and didn't meet either of their gazes. "Mother, father." He acknowladged, standing there and looking at the floor. "Well? What use were you while we were gone, boy?" His father demanded, nearly yelling at him. Caleb didn't answer, his father taking a step toward him. "Answer me, you piece of shit" He growled. Caleb began shaking in his sleep, another tear rolling down his face as he whimpered pleas
