Chris entered into his room and headed for the shower, he came out 15 minutes later with a towel tied around his waist, his hair lying rather flat. He yawned and rummaged through his wardrobe, finding a suitable pair of shirts he placed them on and searched for a singlet. He found a light grey singlet and slipped it on. Chris walked towards his door and opened it slightly he slipped through the door and walked up towards Annika's room. He slowly opened the door and whispered, "Just thought i'd come say goodnight"

Annika stared at the remainder of her food. She swallowed then made her way to her room. She passes pentons room on her way to her own, slamming the door and sitting at her vanity. She heard the whispered words and her heart immediately started to race. "hey Chris" she motioned for him to stand by her. "Do you mind brushing my hair?"

Chris smiled and walked over to her, he grabbed the brush and slowly drew it through her hair. He marveled at her stunning hair. He twisted some of the hair between his fingers. He layed the brush down and placed his hands on her shoulders, "So how'd i do?" He laughed and looked towards the mirror.

Annika smiled at his reflection. She had always loved it when someone would brush her hair. it always gave her time to relax and breath and most importantly, think. He was done all too soon and she fought the frown that threatened to show. "it looks so shiny!" she said as she ran her fngers through the red strands, pulling some of it over her shoulder. "Are you finally going to be able to sleep or will I have to be your comfort person?" Annika teased, knowing full well that she was usually the reason he got no sleep.

"Comfort person" he joked. He smiled at Annika filled joy. Chris walked away from the table and sat on the bed. "How was your day today? What ya get up to?" He patted the bed inviting Annika to sit down with him.

"It was good... i thought I had fixed what was up between me and Penton, but you saw how he was at dinner... and I tried to speak to Mother today but I did not see her the entire day other than dinner" Annika got up and sat beside Chris, laying her head on his shoulder

Chris placed his hand on hers, "It'll be alright, everything will work together somehow, Maybe they dont like me very much" his voice trailed off and he stared at the ground his mind racing with many thoughts.

Brushing those thoughts aside he turned towards Annika and moved some of her hair out from her eyes. He looked into them, "I'm sorry if i've caused any of this, maybe its best if we return to my home for a little while"

"no it is not your fault. Penton is a baby." she sighed looking away. "I want to stay, but Father will be returning here and I do not want to be stuck with him" She shuttered

"It's up to you" his face remained emotionless. The truth was he was nervous about what mischief his brother at home could be causing and besides his brother was probably already planning some way to destroy anything and everything, so staying away would be a wise choice.

"Chris..." Annika started her sentence but the rest left her voice. She wanted to go back, she really did. Her precious Shout was still there. But, that mean leaving anything she and Penton may have started, and her ability to pick out her own dress could be erased... she did not want to see her father and her entire being brake at his feet. He used his King voice a little too much around his daughter
