Captian and maddie talked for a while before looking over at kennedy and said " well lets get going " Maddie said " my mom should be here tomorrow sometime so i need someone to be able to pick her up if i was able to drive then i would " as she looks at the captain before getting into the car and waited to go home she really didn't want to talk about her dad anymore it was to scary and he couldn't think about it at all, Caden wakes back up in screaming pain as the nurses rushed around to give him pain med then try to help him calm down some

Kennedy nodded at he Captians words and followed him towards the car, she looked down at Maddie as she spoke "Well I can go pick her up... Do you want to stay with your mom since she'll be here?" She asked while getting into the car and going onto her phone to make sure her ringer was on

Maddie looks at her and said " my mother won't be able to stay in my dad house since he banned her for going there " as she chuckles and said " also i would be comfortable if you stay with me more then her since she not a cop and she doesn't use a gun " as the captain began to go and looks at kennedy and shugs before driving on maddie stares out the window

Kennedy nodded her head slowly "Oh okay then I'll gladly stay with you as long as your comfortable" She said as soon as the girl finished her sentence. She glanced over at the captain and shrugged as well. She honestly didn't mind that Maddie wanted her to stay, it made her feel useful in this situation since she really couldn't do much for Caden besides figure out the case. "Oh by the way Captain... I was wondering if I could be assigned Cadens case... I know I'm already on a case but Detective Matt has full capability of taking charge in it and it would mean a lot to me if I could find the person who did this to Caden" Kennedy spoke firmly and confidentaly in her words as she glanced over at him.

Maddie smiles out the window and the captian spoke " ill see even throught you are new and all we don't hand over a case to some one who go on bored then see how it goes but if you want to i can give you a different parnter then matt to work on it until caden is better and able to come back then you two goes back being parnters how does that sound " as he looks at her before pulling up to the driveway and maddie got out walks to the house and when in that way she wasn't inside the car hearing about the case and her father name at all Captain said " there would be a meeting tomorrow after checking up on caden where you would see if you get the case or not "

Kennedy listened to the Captian carefully as he spoke, she was a bit happy to hear that she might have a chance at getting the case. She nodded her head at he finished speaking "Yes sir, that sounds like a good plan" She said happily then looked back and watched as Maddie got out of the car and headed in. Her attention turned back to the Captian when he spoke "Okay, I'll be there... and thank you for the ride. I'll see you in the morning sir" Kennedy said before getting out of the car and walking in with a heavy sigh where she found Maddie "Sweetie you should go to bed and get some more shut eye before we go back to your dad in the morning" Kennedy spoke softly while walking up to the girl.

Captain nods before he drove off and maddie looks at her and said " what happens if the guy came here and killed us in our sleeps or killed caden in the hospitle then what happens to me " as she walks away to the kitchen and said " i heard you guys out here before he left it was nice to hear him laugh " as she looks back at her and sighed before her phone ding with susan calling to check up on her

Kennedy kind of froze as Maddie started firing questions at her "I would never let anyone come in here and harm you as long as I'm here... And no one is going to hurt your father... You need to think more positivley otherwise you are just going to worry yourself to death." She spoke firmly while walking into the kitchen, she saw that dinner was still out from the night so she started putting it up "Yeah it was... He has a nice laugh" She said a bit more quietly as she felt herself wanting to cry again but she held it together. At the dig she looekd up at Maddie wondering who would be calling her at this time of night.

Maddie said " oh is my mom " not in a happy tune before answering and said " yes mom" Susan said " I was just checking up and letting you know I'll be there tomorrow at 10 or 11 " Maddie nods and said " okay mom" before she hangs up and smiles before saying " where are you going to sleep " as she looks back at Kennedy

Kennedy nodded her head and went back to putting up the dinner, once she was finished she leaned up against the counter, running a hand through her hair "Most likely in your fathers room... or the couch" She said while walking over to Maddie "Now no more talking and go to bed" She said softly to Maddie
