Regan rolled her eyes after his second comment, a bit of a chuckle escaping her. Though, she still didn't know how to wrap her head around the fact that he was already over all of this... she would have been mortified. When he pulled away and said he was going away, she nodded and let out a kind of sigh. She was tired... it'd been a long, long day, it really had. "Just... please come back," she asked him before watching him leave. She wandered over to the bad and flopped down, soon falling asleep... she really was so exhausted.

Tyler would always come back. He strode quietly out to the stream, sitting down with a small sigh and gazing into the swishing water. He took some, splashing his face and rubbing the back of his neck, happy he was now cooler. He got up, peeking inside And seeing Regan asleep. Once he had confirmed she was asleep he went back out and took off his shirt, gently washing the small wounds he had gotten. -ouch- he thought with a wince, wishing they had... cleaner water.

Regan slept happily for a little while, just enjoying the warmth of the blanket and the mattress... it'd felt like ages since she'd slept this well. In the back of her mind, she hoped Tyler was alright, but she was perfectly comfortable for now. He'd been by himself for long enough... he could care for himself for however long he was out there.

Tyler just sat at the edge of the river, watching the water and thinking about memories. Thinking about how his father whipped him.. thinking about the cougar... thinking about how he fractured his ribs... thinking about how he felt weak and vulnerable, and how he felt like he couldn't take care of Regan well enough... he took a deep breath, ignoring the twinge of pain in his chest. Tyler had seemed to forget he was sitting at the river... and Regan was inside asleep... he was now caught up in his own brain. Stupid imagination... why did he have to remember so many things...

Regan slept for a long while... all the way through to the evening. She'd been a lot more tired than she'd thought she was... but then again, she was still healing, and she'd been trying to look after Tyler the best she could... which, she had to admit, could have been better. But she welcomed the sleep warmly... loving every moment of rest she had. He'd be back sooner or later, she was sure.

Tyler finally snapped out of it, shaking his head. He blinked slowly, sighing and finished washing his upper body off, then put back on his shirt and stood, gazing out at the forest. On this side of the river everything was scorched, burned, and in ashes. On the other side everything was green with life, thriving, happy. Tyler's shoulders dropped slightly, exhaustion overtaking him. He slid down against the tree, falling asleep quickly... but his face was a troubled frown... even though his breathing was normal again

Regan woke up pretty late in the night... though Tyler was nowhere to be seen. She felt panic run through her... he said he'd come back, so why wasn't he here? Why wasn't he next to her? Had he run off or something? Eventually, she forced herself up to the river where he said he'd be, little Millie wandering along at her side. She spotted him asleep, though her dog had started to growl... in the distance she saw a very scraggly-looking animal, snarling and stumbling about. She threw a knife, hitting it square in the head and the animal soon fell to the ground. She wandered back over to Tyler after a moment or two, gently placing a hand on his shoulder, trying to wake him up. "Tyler, please wake up," she whispered after a moment.

Tyler took in a sharp intake of breath as he felt something touch his shoulder. He had a feeling it was Regan.. so he opened his eyes slowly. Then he spotted the dead animal and leaped up, his eyes wide. "You- Regan- thanks- that- what?" He stuttered, obviously still nit that much awake... and very startled. He cleared his throat. "I- what is that animal, how did you kill it, and I'm sorry I fell asleep outside." Tyler made an effort to regain his composure... though he still looked half asleep.

Regan shook her head as he apologised, but wandered over to the animal... it looked like some wolf. It was missing a leg, and the blood from its head was drifting into its eyes... it was an awful sight. "It's a wolf. It would have gotten you," she told him with a frown. She then wandered back over to him, a small sigh escaping her as she sat beside him. "You look exhausted... is everything alright? You've not hurt yourself again, have you?" She looked worried... she was worried. She was a bit scared that something had happened to her new friend.

Tyler followed her slowly, peering at the animal. "Poor thing." He muttered under his breath, a slight shiver forming in his arms. He glanced at Regan. "I'm sorry I stayed outside, I would have come into the cabin but I drifted off." He said slowly, looking at the cabin. "I'm fine.. I was just thinking. And no, I'm not hurt again. I promise." Tyler answered quietly. He wasn't hurt again.. but Regan was right, he did feel tired. He also didn't entirely know why. Tyler turned and started walking back to the cabin, thinking about what would have happened if I took would have gotten him... he wasn't really worried about dying... but would Regan have been okay? -I need to be more careful from now on- he thought, brushing a hand through his hair as he entered the cabin
