Sage followed behind Cassandra and scowled at the man who called her little girl. Well, she could fight, he assumed ....and he could too. They'd get Annie back or die trying. But he wasn't going to tolerate anyone talking to her like that, so he couldn't help but snap "she said get your captain, not act like a two year old with a bad attitude," at him.

Cassandra smiles before the guy pulled out his sword and points it at sage then Cassandra places her hand on the sword and said " drop your blade humpy boarent " the guy before walking off fast having them follow to the captain then he said " only the girl you can stay out "

Sage was about ready to pull out his own weapons and end the man when he pointed the sword at him, but he decided he couldn't kill him yet since Cassandra needed him to find Annie. So, he followed, though his expression made it clear he wasn't happy about it. His eyes flashed angrily at thean when he said he couldn't go with. "I'm staying with her," he snapped. "I don't trust you bozos alone with her," he snorted.

Cassandra place a hand on his shoulder and said " sage I can protect myself I'll be fine just stay out here I don't need someone stress in there " as she smiles before kissing his check and walks into the tent and said " hello captain " he looks up and said " hello Cassandra "

Sage huffed out a breath, not wanting to let her go in by herself, but he didn't want to argue with her. "Fine," he finally sighed. He sort of paced outside the tent, nervous for her and really just wanting to bash some heads. He was really just waiting for a good excuse to do it. He was thinking about the kiss on the cheek though...it was rather nice. But now wasn't the time to think about that.

Cassandra talks with him before walking out and looks at sage before the captain came out and said " i am sorry cassandra but the only way to get your child is to fight with one of my guys to the death i heard you were a good fighter" cassandra nods and said " that i am and i don't think your guys would be able to take me down "

Sage paced for a while before he saw her come out and was shocked at the captains surprise and then walked over to them, putting a hand on her shoulder when she responded. "I'll fight for her," he told the captain. Then he looked at her. "Not because you can't fight, but because if you get hurt, it's going to hurt Annie too." He wasn't going to take no for an answer. Besides, he really wanted to punch a man.

Cassandra looks at him and said " are you nuts if they find out you been arrested at the castle they make sure to kill you " as she looks at him she didn't know why she cared so much for him but it was worth it to Cassandra looks at him before saying " I can't bare to see someone who I had to boss around get killed it would put the blame on me and Annie already have a bond to you it would break her heart "

Sage snorted lightly and cocked his head, looking at the captain but speaking to Cassandra, a slight smile forming on his face and admittedly probably making him a bit scary looking. "Why do you think I was arrested," he asked quietly. He could fight, and he could do it better than her. Not because she was a girl or anything, but because he had more experience fighting to the death. And since he was still here, he was obviously a victor of each fight. "I didn't collect these scars sitting in a safe home," he pointed out. And then he looked over at Cassandra. "You're her mother. She needs you more than she'll need me. But I'll be alright. I always have been, and now I have something to fight for."

Cassandra looks down before she sighed and then she pulled him close and kisses him on lips before backing away and said " I don't want you to get hurt cause I care about you and Annie I'll fight to the death for anyone of you guy " as she looks away and feel like she was going to cry but she had to keep it strong she was a soldier anyway and she really didn't care about how he got into the ceil she care about him only
