She smirked. "Hungry?" She asked softly, halfway wanting to hunt but also not wanting to leave his side

"I am but I already know if I eat it's not going to settle and be back on the ground within like, ten minutes." Gale mused lightly, pushing himself up into a sitting position before scooting back to the support of a tree, winded just from barely moving. "Great, it's one of those poisons." He hissed, voice filled with venom.

"I've got you." She said, wrapping an arm around him to help support him
| |

"One thing I will take though is some water, i'm parched worse then a mutt." He chuckled, spinning one of his arrows in his hand.

"Well I might have some..." She said, handing him a flask from a pouch
| |

Gale greedily took the flask and chugged it, handing it back as he wiped the excess from his face. "Now that was nice,"

Kayla was silent and she replaced the flask onto her hip. She kept her arm around hi for a moment before gently letting him go. She made sure he wasn't going to fall when she let go as she grabbed her bow and an arrow. "I won't go far. I promise. Stay here. I love you." She said huriedly, darting off and easily tracking down a small elk. SHe shot it down and dragged it back to the spot she'd left Gale and parted it out to eat

"Alright," Gale rasped, clearing his throat once more as he watched her go. When she returned he didn't notice her, staring off and lost in thought, looking tired and broken in the moment.

"Hey, babe" She said softly, starting a small fire and cooking dinner
| |

"Oh, hey." He said, getting rid of the expression.
