Sage chuckled and nodded. "Sounds like her," he admitted. He looked at the one Luther had pointed out and wrinkled his nose. Luther would look good in that, but not him. "There'd be more fabric than me," he chuckled. "I don't think looking like a garden decoration would help my cause," he teased the boy lightly. "But she does know what she's talking about...you'll look good in it." He gave Luther a sudden look and added, "don't ever tell her I said that."

Luther hummed at his comment before giving an amused chuckle. "Well, you might struggle to find something because there's not exactly very much of you," he teased childishly before giving a slightly calmer hum. "I'm gonna tell her when she comes back," he giggled, "I'm gonna say you think she knows what she's doing, and she's gonna get an ego boost and make you try everything on," he mused excitedly, much the way a young toddler might. He also knew that was not exactly the way things would go... if it was him, then that might be the case, but Anya did seem a bit more... tentative towards Sage. Like before, she'd actually been pretty apologetic towards him, which just wasn't in her character.

Sage rolled his eyes at Luther's first joke, a slight chuckle coming out. "yeah, well, you more than balance me out," he teased the bigger boy right back. Then he stuck his tongue out at Luther and held the book up, the page turned to simpler but still extravagant clothes. "Can you honestly see me in any of these? Anya had to know better than that," he chuckled. "I like the girl and I'll do a lot for her, but trying these things on in a nope from me."

Luther peered over the page with a small chuckle. "No, not really," he mused, looking from Sage then back to the book. "I'm sure she'll get you something you're comfortable in. I think she has a bit of a thing for you, so she'll want you to be happy," he teased boyishly. Luther was more like an annoying big brother to the girl than anything. He glanced back towards the counter and Anya, who was wandering out with a big white box. Presumably her dress. "You found anything you like?" She asked Sage with a light smile. If there wasn't anything that he liked, then she might be able to have something designed for him... though, she wasn't exactly sure if they had the time for that before this formal.

Sage chuckled and shrugged, though he was kind of glad that Luther had caught on to the girl's feelings and wasn't, well..upset about it. Of course, he had no idea about what was going on between the two of them, but whatever. He'd take it. "That won't stop her from making us both try a gazillion things on," he chuckled, then looked over at the girl when she came back and wrinkled his nose. "Yeah, if I wanted to become a clown," he told the girl in a slightly amused tone. "It's all so fancy. Doesn't really fit," he chuckled. "Also, have you seen my fashion sense? I'm half tempted to just paint myself purple and go like that," he half joked.

Anya pouted slightly before rolling her eyes. "Nothing at all? Really?" she asked with wide eyes before shaking her head. She wandered over to his side before placing the box on a chair and offering him her hands. "Come on, you won't look like a clown... We'll get you sized up for something and then we can have something drawn up that might be up to your standards," she teased lightly before helping him up and dragging him off around the back. "Come on Luther," she yipped back to the boy, calling him along with a smile. The woman in the back was already set up with measuring tapes and a couple of old patterns he could try... they were both ever so plain, but just fancy enough so that he wouldn't be a laughing stock. That was her main worry for the boy... if he got there and people were just horrible to him, she knew how awful that'd make him feel.

Sage shrugged at Anya's comment with a sheepish type of grin. "Well, I've only looked through a few pages worth of outfits. I got distracted," he admitted with a slight chuckle. He threw a look at Luther as the girl dragged him back towards the old lady in the back, who he assumed to be the tailor. He supposed he was in for it now...between the two women in the room he'd have to pick something...or, rather, they'd pick something for him. He had to trust their judgment on this...he really had no idea what he was doing, or even what he needed for this formal stuff. If it weren't for Att, he would have stayed as far away from formal attire as possible. But, if they all said something looked good, then he'd just have to take their word for it. He was perfectly fine in servant's garb...though he might be annoyed if the old woman thought he was one of the two's servant. Or maybe not. He didn't really know at this point and he really just wanted to get in and out so he could check in of Att, even though they hadn't been gone very long.

Anya dragged the boy along to a small room in the back, which was slightly more... organised than the rest of the place. The patterns were neatly on stands, and all the different colours and fabrics were folded up on shelves. More of what looked like a workspace. "He doesn't want to do this," Anya chuckled quietly as she stood the boy still in the corner. "So nothing too fancy," she murmured as she looked around. The slightly older woman gave a slight nod as she picked up a small tape to measure the boy up. Anya wandered around and looked at a couple of the fabrics with a small smile, while Luther sat there with a stupid grin on his face.

Sage threw Anya a slight annoyed look, though really all in play, and let out a huff of breath before shooting Luther a somewhat playfull glare as well. He crossed his arms, though the old lady soon yanked on one and started measuring him and doing... whatever she needed to do. He went along with it, though he quite obviously wasn't enjoying the whole process. He entertained himself by imagining Luther in some of the crazier outfits...though the boy would look good in some of them, he would look rediculous in others, so that was what he had in mind. It made for something at least slightly entertaining, at least.

Anya wrinkled her nose playfully at the boy before picking up a dark square of fabric and holding it up as the old woman got to work on measuring him. "You like this?" She asked quietly as she held the fabric up to his face. "It'd look alright," she murmured before grabbing a silver trim. "And we can just chuck this on to give it a bit more. Then we could use this as a pattern," she chirped before wandering over to a little stand with a pretty plain looking outfit... it was really just a shirt with a short collar, but they could square the shoulder off and make it a bit smarter.
