Sage grunted in agreement with Edith's first comment, but hesitated when she invited him along. "I dunno....people don't really like me," he muttered. And honestly, if he had to dress up, he didn't really want to go. But, it might be a good idea, so if they really thought it would help, he supposed he could suffer through it for a bit if it meant giving the boy a good home. Though, if he did go, he'd have to find clothes other than the outfit he had now....which may prove to be difficult, as servants garbs were the only thing that he seemed to be getting, and less than stellar ones at that. He didn't really mind, but it wasn't formal attire. He didn't much care himself, but he supposed he should just to give the boy a better chance.

Charlotte's father chuckled a little at his hesitance before shaking his head. "People don't tend to like me much either. You'll be fine, just be polite and talkative and you'll fit right in." It was true enough... Jasper was a bit of a recluse, which seemed to scare people off a little. His wife, however, was a bit more... outgoing, and people liked that. "I think Luther and Anya are going, too, so you won't be alone," Edith added with a smile. It was a good chance for the boy to make some connections, and perhaps he could find a good place for the boy to stay. "It'd be a good time even if you don't find a nice couple that might take him... plus, you'd get out the castle a bit," she shrugged lightly.

Sage thought about it for a few seconds and then sighed in a sort of defeat. "When exactly is this formal?" He'd have to manage to find something other than his current outfit if he was to go...and that definitely wouldn't be easy to do. He couldn't even borrow anything of Luther's since the guy was like twice his size. Whatever, he'd figure something out. And it seemed like Jasper was...not as concerned about him as he first was, which was definitely a good thing.

The man hummed in thought to the questioning before glancing at his wife after a moment, clearly completely oblivious to any sort of timings and dates. The woman rolled her eyes before sitting up a little. "In about two weeks... you should have time to get something to wear if you don't already." The woman noted, her questioning look towards her husband becoming a little brighter as she looked towards the boy. "It is a little ride away, though, so we're heading up the night before. I haven't a single clue what everyone else is doing, though." Japer tipped after.

Sage nodded slowly and grunted. "I'll ask Anya about it. She helps her mom plan all the stuff like that so she'd know enough," he mused eventually. Maybe they'd manage to scrounge something up for him to wear for the night...Anya could definitely convince someone to do something. He didn't want the girl to just go buy something, that didn't seem fair, although she could always return it he supposed. "I'll do the thinking later," he mumbled, before Atticus started to babble and whine. Sage sighed and stood up. "I gotta go find a bottle," he half groaned. "I'll probably see you soon as much as Charlotte likes to drag me around," he added in a pretty amused tone. Charlotte opened her arms for a hug, which he obliged to, as well as a brotherly peck on the cheek. Then he slipped back off to his room, thankful they hadn't mentioned his neck or...well, he wasn't sure what. He was just glad to be back alone in his room. Hopefully Anya would be back after she had lunch or something and he could ask about the formal he'd just heard about.

The couple waved a brief goodbye to the boy before going back to whatever they were doing before... they truly did hope they'd been of some use to the boy. Jasper was still a little stiff towards him, for sure, but he was at least giving the boy a chance. After a little while of bugging Luther, chasing him around the castle and what not like a little girl after her playground crush, Anya did leave the boy alone... mainly because he'd begged and pleaded for her to leave him be, and because she was a semi-decent person, and he'd pleaded with her better nature, she did leave him be, but not before dragging him off to have lunch with her. It'd been forever since she'd had lunch with the rest of her family, so it was rather nice. Once they'd all finished up, she waved Luther a friendly goodbye while he sulkily slinked off to continue whatever he was doing before Anya started to bug him. The girl trotted off to Sage's room again, a huge grin on her face as she slipped through the door and wandered over to press a light kiss to his lips. "How was the doctors?" She asked lightly before perching on the couch in the corner.

Sage felt the usual goofy grin spread over his face at the girl's affections greeting. "He seems fine, same as yesterday," he told the girl happily. "Maybe better than yesterday bloating wise, though the doctor seemed more interested in teasing me about this than worrying about the boy to much," he chuckled, tilting his head to kind of gesture to his neck since his hands were full of baby boy. After a few minutes, Atticus had finished eating and neatly fell asleep. Sage kind of let out a type of relieved sigh, though of course he loved the boy. He waddled over to plop down next to Anya and curl up against her happily, glad to kind of be able to just sit down and relax for a bit.

Anya chuckled lightly before wrapping an arm around his side. "I'm not surprised," she giggled in response to the doctor's teasing... the marks were pretty dark now, but all Anya could do was giggle and press light, silly little kisses to his neck, cheek and jaw when he came to sit with her. She looked towards the crib with a soft smile on her face after a moment, "he did seem happier this morning," she noted with a slightly cocked head. "And he eats like there's no tomorrow, so I can't imagine he's that unwell," she noted gently, before sitting back ever so slightly.

Sage let out a tiny giggle at the girl's light kisses and snuggles in even more when she looked over at the crib. "Well I don't know how he manages, being up all night." Then he reconsidered what he'd just said. "Well...he does sleep half of the day away I guess." He chuckled slightly and shook his head. "Charlotte's parents said I should bring him to the formal and talk to some people or whatever," he added in. "Her mother practically begged me to come," he said in an amused tone, though he wrinkled his nose at the thought of having to wear fancy royal clothes. His tunic was perfectly fine.

Anya hummed and leaned back a little when he snuggled in a bit more, having a moment to think before offering a smile. "Could be a fun idea... but do you wanna take him? It can get loud and Att might not be too impressed with having his cheeks pinched by old ladies," she noted with a light chuckle. She looked thoughtful for another moment before wrinkling her nose. slightly. "I would have mentioned it to you but it didn't seem like the kind of thing you'd be all that interested in," she murmured before squinting at him slightly, "What're you gonna wear? I'm not gonna dress you up in the royal formal wear," she noted, a rather amused chuckle following her comment as she thought about Sage in the frankly... extravagant outfits.
