Celeste shook her head, blocking the bad thoughts out. "I don't know," she murmured, moving to nurse another baby. Yes, of course she was worried, but she had four other little ones that needed attention.

Sage tried to listen in on the nurses conversations, but with all of them over there chatting it was hard to pick up on anything much, especially since he was also focusing on ear on Celeste and the other babies.

The baby still hadn't come back even an hour later. The others had been fed and swaddled and was now asleep on Celestes chest.

Sage was getting more worried by the second now that everyone else was taken care of. Where was his son? He was pretty well wearing a hold in the floor pacing, a soft growl run long in his throat, a habit that tended to happen when he was really scared or worried about something.

The nurse came back. Celeste instantly sat up. "Im so sorry, but your son has bronchopulmonary dysplasia.(thank you google) He should make a full, recovery over time, but we don't know for sure,"

Sage whirled around when the nurse came back in, suppressing the urge to bear his teeth and snarl nervously, since this was a human hospital and...well, that wouldn't end well. "Can we take him home or not," he asked after a moment or so, casting a glance at the other babies. "We have other little ones at home with friends right now....we can't stay here too long," he added.

"Youre son needs to stay here under observation for a few days, along with the mother, but your welcome to bring your children here," the nurse replied calmly.

Sage nodded and let out a breath, glancing over at Celeste. "Can you give us a minute to figure out what we want to do," he asked after a moment. This was complicated, and the empress hunting them didn't make it any easier.

The nurse nodded, "Of course, take all the time you need," she smiled lightly, slipping out of the room. Celeste looked up at Sage worriedly.

Sage nodded, biting his lip. "How are we supposed to stay here with nine kids," he asked. A million questions were whirling through his head, none of which helped very much at figuring this all out.
