They only get points in general if they place 1-4. Futurity points are just the same as the normal points they would earn, they've just been separated out to be with other futurity horses so they all have a chance of points from day 1

Do foals only get futurity points if they place in a certain spot or higher? For example if they placed 1st to 5th, but anything from 6th- to 12th wouldn't give them any points?

You're right Ash they do. Basically Extension chooses between black and chestnut base. If its black, then it hands over to Agouti to decide if the black is just on points (one of the bays), all over (black) or whatever the fuck it means to be brown 🤣

Ahh I thought if a foal ended up ee they would be chestnut not matter what was going on with the bay genes, that makes it easier!

She smiled though he couldn't see it "how so?" She asked. She tilted her head up so she could see him. She was surprised that her wings weren't in the way, but she didn't like them being squished. She curled onto her side, her knees pulled to her chest, her body resting against his and her head on his shoulder.
