Zephyr chuckled a little as her face lit up. She obviously enjoyed talking about softball. "So you do it to confuse them, which it obviously did. Their faces were HILARIOUS. But traction makes sense." He commented, cracking his fingers absent-mindedly. "Overall, that was a great game." He glanced up at the sky, where it was already getting dark. "Buuut I'd better get home. You got here fine obviously- has your car been fixed?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

"No. I've been using my moms car but I think even it is beginning to have trouble. I think I can make it home though" she shrugged then grabbed her bag from the ground. "Coach said we could leave whenever so now I'm good. I think I might stop at Waffle House and get a celebratory waffle!"

Zephyr lifted his eyebrows slightly as he listened to what she said. "I know you probably won't accept, but I've fixed a good amount of vehicles- I'm sure it's just a small problem. Want me to take a look at it?" He inquired, then added, "My dad taught me, and he's a mechanic." He then tilted his head. "Mind if I tag along? I have nothing to do at the moment, except go to sleep super early." Zephyr smiled a little.

"Sure" she said. "Anyone knows more about cars than I do, so anything will help. Why wouldn't I accept?" Sophia held back a laugh. "And sure! Always need company. Can't have a celebration waffle if I don't have someone to share it with!" She grabbed his arm after throwing her backpack on her back and pulled him away from the people as quick as she could get her legs to go. Once they got to the parking lot she stopped. "Should we take two cars or leave one here and take the other and come back? "

Zephyr sidled off of the subject, again avoiding the question. "I can check it out whenever you want." He said, then added, "sounds good." He smiled, jogging after her as she dragged him forward. "I dont care." He shrugged, glancing around and thinking about what he would do next.

"I'll just try my moms car and see if it works. One second" Sophia tossed her bags in her moms car and plopped inside, starting it up. "We're good" she said with a smile. "Meet you at Waffle House" she said before driving to the restaurant. She found a table in the corner and sat down.

Zephyr waited at the side of his truck to make sure her car started. When it did he climbed into his vehicle and started it up, driving out of the schoolyard and to the waffle house. Parking, he walked inside and glanced around before heading towards where Sophia was and sitting down. "Long time no see." He commented with a small smile, glancing around again.

"I know! It's been so long" she laughed. As the waiter came up. "Can I get two celebration waffles?" She asked. A guy poked his head out from behind a door. "Oh hey Sophia. Did you win?" He asked. "Wouldn't get my celebration waffle if I didn't!" She smiled. Hee brother came up and ruffled her hair. "Good job" he praised before turning away. "Two celebration waffles coming up!" "Ryan! Can it have sprinkles?" She smiled. "Fine" he groaned before disappearing behind the door. "Sorry" Sophia ducked her head for a second. "That's my brother Ryan"

Zephyr glanced at the people that Sophia was speaking to- well, really just one. They looked similar in a way. When she spoke that explained why. "I see the resemblance. If you don't mind me asking, how many siblings do you have?" He inquired, his dark blue eyes flitting out the window for a second. He always seemed to be looking in a different place, like he could never keep his eyes still. Other than that however, he was always very still, never moving unless he had to. It was probably something he'd gotten from his father, who had been in the military for 10 years.

Sophia gulped. "I have two older siblings. One is in college, Ryan, and the other is out of college and married. Then I have two younger siblings. Twins, actually. They are both in 7th grade. " she glanced at Zephyr before looking away as two waffles were set down in between them. "Oooo" she said, grateful for a change of subject. The waffles were drowning in chocolate and sprinkles "yay!" She said, jumping up and hugging Ryan for a split second before pushing him away and sitting down. "Wanna share?" She asked Zephyr as she cut the top waffle in half
