Moon, what sort of life experience helped you in that, and for you did that mean taking a break from uni or staying and investing time in internships and such?

It took me a long time! I've changed my degree three times before settling, but I always recommend life experience first before studying so you aren't stuck doing something you hate. Also, once you do start studying you learn so many things that are out there, so many fields I never knew were an option! So, often the more you study the easier it is to narrow down what you want to do

Yeah it was all agreed that when I returned to uni since I'm a 'mature' student that my hours would reduce (contract and all) but it became too hard for them so they tried the whole 'we will make you quit instead of firing you' act and I had to deal with lawyers, it was such a huge and avoidable drama in the end but I still value the experience I had

Yes! I was more in the screening team so technically an 'admin' role but I did all the pre-screening phone calls and worked closely with the doctors. It was also very helpful for my degree to learn from that job, and I come from a medical family so I loved it. Unfortunately did not love the management which is why I'm not there now but I do hope to work with another company in a similar role again!

You're more likely to see a higher rate of recurrence in aggressive cancers than you are slow developing ones

For the bio side of my degree I 'specialize' in genetics, it is a very interesting and rewarding field! But definitely still so much to learn

That entirely depends on the type of cancer

Definitely not saying it can't be cured, just that more preventative care and screening would be better! Especially with women's healthcare

That is true- but sadly the likelihood of it returning after those years is high and can be seen in statistics. :(

"Well then I guess I'm everyone" He jokedwith a charming smile before taking another bite as she spoke "True but seriously my mother usually doesn't like most women that hang around me so to her you are probably a angel" He said with a serious tone while keeping his eyes down to his bowl continuing to eat. "Oh thanks, it's not anything fancy but I'm glad you like it" He smiled looking up at her

Mercy smiled at him. "I'll take that as a compliment." She looked at her bowl with sudden interest. "You make it sound like you have a lot of women around." She teased, glancing back up at him and biting her lip, flushing a bit red. "If she thinks IM an angel, there really must not be much competition." She looked around the house again. "I like that its not fancy. Its simple. I like that."

Kennedy shrugged his shoulders "Well I've had a few over thinking they were sweet but their true snobby personality shown through once my mother started to talk with them" He stated before taking another bite then looked up at Mercy, he smiled seeing the small red blush grow onto her face "Nope, there's no competition because I also think your an angel" He mused sweetly to her with a grin then went back to eating

"I think your judgement is misguided." She chuckled, reaching a hand over to intertwine their fingers again. "Your mother is amazing. I swear, if you met my parents you would be shocked at how they can be such terrible people." She shook her head, rolling her eyes.

"Oh it definitely was but I know it's not anymore. I am sure you are an angel unlike anybody else" He smiled before grabbing her hand that had reached over and kissing it. "Thank you she truly is amazing... And I do hope to meet your parents one day.. I just hope they will be nice to a commoner" He half joked the last part

"I wouldnt count on it." She huffed, smiling at the way he kissed her hand. She finished her food soon after, standing up to go clean it up.

"Oh boy..." He kind of sulked before continuing to eat, he finished a bit before Mercy and when she stood to wash her dish he stood up and quickly came up beside her snatching the dish to wash for her "Your a guest here, no need for you to be the one cleaning up" He said to her before going ahead and starting to clean up both dishes

"Thats no fair! I want to do it." She huffed. She figured it wasnt worth the energy and sighed in defeat. "Im a big, grown woman. I can wash my own dishes." She moved up behind him and wrapped her arms around him, kissing him on the cheek from over his shoulder. She settled her head on the back of his shoulder and closed her eyes happily.

He could only chuckle at her reaction to him snatching the plate "Fine I'll let you wash your own dish next time, is that okay?" He teased with a playful smile continuing to wash the dishes. He hummed to her in delight as he felt her wrap around him and get a kiss on the cheek. Kennedy loved the affection she was giving, he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Once he was done with the dishes he turned around wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer, he laid a small kiss on her fore head

"I guess." Mercy huffed dramatically, leaning into him as he wrapped his arms around her. She stood on her tip-toes so she could give him a gentle, short kiss. "So, what should we do next?"
