Blaze saw the edge of the woods coming up. She could here Raptor and Millie's voices. The young mare slowed to a walk and slowly stepped into view

Raptor nodded, then his gaze flew to where he saw Blaze at the edge of the woods. He let out a deep breath he had been holding, thankful she was safe. Then... then he started feeling even worse. Should he even go over there and apologize? Should he stay here and wait? Raptor didn't even know... so being the idiot he was he walked down slowly towards her, his head hanging. "Blaze... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ever said that, it was silly of me." He said quietly, wishing he had more than three brain cells.

She saw him approaching her. She stopped and stood tall, holding her head high. She pinned her ears slightly, but listened to what he was saying. "That's not a valid excuse. I'm giving you one more chance. Don't fuck it up again."

Raptor flinched slightly, nodding and whirling around to walk back up the hill. He walked down the other side and into the small pine grove where he pretty much hid in the trees, silently cursing to himself. "Stupid stupid..." he thought, knowing the mares were okay for now. He folded his legs underneath him, sinking to the ground with a sigh. Raptor should have never became a herd leader... he didn't understand mares, or why they did stuff. He always accidentally said something that made them mad... and then that got him in trouble.

Blaze looked around an took a few steps into the meadow, still holding her head high. The other mares looked to her, with a look of respect in their eyes. She new they respected her. Blaze looked around, seeing Raptor disappear over the hill. She sighed and lowered her head a little, but not much. She still had that look of power. She stayed standing up, watching the herd

Raptor placed his head on the ground. If anything... the mares would scream if a cougar came. He closed his eyes and fell asleep within a couple seconds, feeling drained.

Blaze paced around, looking out for danger. She thought to herself, I thought this was his herd. Why am I the one looking over them while he sulks? She shook her head, dismissing the thought. She cantered up the hill so she could see Raptor. "Raptor!" She called to him

Raptor jerked awake with a snort. He looked around wildly, alarmed. When he saw he was SLEEPING in a PINE GROVE while HIS herd was GRAZING (okay too many capital letters lol) he jumped up, almost hitting his head on a branch. Raptor cantered stiffly up the hill, looking around to make sure the mares were all okay.

She snickered to herself when he jumped up. "They are fine." She said when he looked around anxiously. Now that he was up to watch over his herd, she walked a few yards away from the herd and lay down, closing out the world.

Raptor dropped his head looking... tired, unhappy, sad, and slightly mortified. He gazed out over the herd with weary eyes, wishing he could say... SOMETHING to make Blaze feel better. He shifted, closing his eyes for a second before looking back out over the plains
