"I don't know but we'll figure it out, okay? I promise you that we will have a baby. I'll find every way possible, I swear it, Lorelei" he said, holding her closer and rubbing her back as tears streamed down his own face as he wiped herself away

Lorelei just cried in his arms. Over the next few days, they kept trying. A week later, she locked herself in the bathroom, taking another test, waiting. When her timer went off, she stood, closing her eyes, taking a deep breath, and flipping over the test, looking at it. Positive. There it was, clear as day.

Lorelei let out a breath she hadn't known she was holding in. She took the test, opening the door, facing Kai, happy crying. "I'm pregnant," she breathed.

He was frozen a moment, mouth agape. "Are you serious?"

Lorelei nodded, showing him the test. "I'm pregnant," she repeated, barely a whisper.

He picked her up, spinning her around happily. "We're gonna be parents, we did it, Lorelei" he breathed, kissing her with happy tears

Lorelei wrapped her arms and legs around him, kissing him back. "We're gonna have a baby," she whispered.
