Emery decided to try Max's coping methods, grabbing a flask before taking a swig and immediately spitting it out into the sink. Blech. Won't do that again, she screwed the cap back on and put it up, rinsing her mouth out with water until the taste was long gone.

So many thoughts swirled in his mind. He felt awful about himself. He still loved her, but he didnt want to drag her down anymore. But he really wanted things between them to be permanent. He pulled out his phone looking at engagement rings on Amazon. They were still expensive. He felt even more awful he couldn't afford anything more.
