Gale was still knocked out and shackled when they dragged him into a cell at Iekburgg, waking up slowly. Once he came to his senses he yelled out of panic, reckognizing the room he was in. It was the same room he'd first introduced himself to Kayla, the room he was broken in once. His blood still littered the floor, a colonel walking in. "Ah, Gale. Good to see you, Gale immediatly backed, eyes darting around. "Not very good to see you, colonel. Where is she?" He asked, the colonel becoming confused. "Where's who?" "I- Kayla, where is she?" Gale asked, the colonel starting to piece it together. "Kayla, as in princess Kayla?" He asked, tounge sharp and cold. "Uh....no, not princess. Just Kayla, that's it." Gale replied, his tone equally as cold. "Mhm, we'll see about that. With enough you'll speak, i'll get my way. Whether you decide to coperate or if I have to make you cooperate." Kayla felt the familiar walls closing in a she began to panic and watch the maids she'd once known and truted bustle around busily. No....not here....no.... She thought, taking her usual route to the dungeons but feeling like someone was following her. She spun and saw a once-well-known garden maid following her with wide eyes. "Princess-" She began, but Kayla covered her mouth. "If you're interested in staying alive, shut your fucking mouth." Kayla said in a worriedly hushed tone. "Run along. You saw nobody" The maid nodded and hurried off, most likely going to snitch. Fuck. Now I need to take care of that sooner or later too....

The guards got to it with Gale, interigating him about the dissaperence of their princess. He was suspended in the chains he'd been broken in once, feet barely brushing the cold stone floor. "Tell me, where is she?" The colonel asked, eyeing Gale's newly brusied body, a whip shining with his blood. "I told you....I....I don't know." Gale relied weakly, voice gravely as if he hadn't spoke in days. "Wrong answer." With that the colonel struck the whip onto Gale again, his body jerking against the chains as his chest heaved. "I-I our camp i-it was raided and I told her to run, haven't seen her since." The colonel despised the answer, bringing in more harmful sets of tools then the first time Gale had been there. <><><><><> Once they were finished, Gale was still silent, too weak to speak, too weak to even walk, and it was only the first day. They tossed him in a cell, Gale giving up on trying to get up. "Just keep running, Kayla. Don't you worry about me, don't you worry about me."

Kayla waited until the guards' boots were just echos fading as they past her- unaware -and walked off. She snuck through the shadows to Gale's cell. "Didn't think they'd be that bad for the first round either." She said casually, looking at him with a flash of anger in her eyes, barely contained. How dare they hurt him this badly, her only love...

"Yeah, haven't been here in two years, and now they don't beleive we're two love birds, just think I abducted you, end of story." He says casually, cracking his eyes open. "Not tonight, can't make it even a mile, already know it. Give me a few more days and i'll be fine, I promise."

"I have something to take care of in the meantime." She muttered, her thoughts going back to the maid momentarily. She heard guards' voices in the distance. "I have to go. I love you" She said quickly, shooting him one last glance before darting off

"Love you," He whispered, going silent as a guard walked in. "'Something to take care of in the meantime......what does that mean?" Gale muttered under his breath, gaze flicking up to the guard entering the cell. "Who were you talking to?" He asked, Gale hesitating. "Nobody, I was talking to myself" He tried, the guard just lauging. "No you weren't, I saw them." With that the guard came out moments later, Gale more hurt then he was. The guard had stabbed him, Gale yelling out in pain in response. He'd stabbed him in the side, nothing too serious, just landing on a spot that felt real nice when he was with Kayla. Gale groaned, tipping his head back against the stone, jaw clenched.

Kayla barely resisted the urge to turn around and help Gale but didn't. She ran out to the gardens and found the maid who had seen her, watching her until the sun went down and she went to the maid's quarters. She followed her, covering her mouth and dragging her small body to the woods. "Who did you tell?" She asked angrily, the sound of Gale's yell of pain resonating in her ears along with the new anger from the guard harming him as she left. "N-nobody." The maid stammered. "Bullshit. I can see the lying in your eyes. You're not keeping a steady voice either. Tell me and maybe you'll live." Kayla warned, though killing this maid was happening either way. "Cadence. I told Cadence." The maid admitted quickly, flinching from Kayla's cold eyes. "Joke's on you, now her and you will both die." Kayla snapped, throwing a knife through the woman's artery and going back to the castle to look for Cadence.

lmao. I'm trying....) Kayla spotted the younger maid almost immedietly, sneaking to her cot and dragging her out the same way she had the last maid. She dropped the young woman-no older than 13-on the ground beside the first maid. Cadence looked at the dead woman with a horrified look. "Her name." Kayla demanded coldly. "Tanya." Cadence muttered. "Tanya..." Kayla repeated slowly, trying the name out. "Well, Tanya here saw me. And i'm assuming you know who I am?" Kayla asked knowingly. Cadence nodded, silent and her eyes grazing over Kayla's body and weapons. "Did you....kill her?" Cadence asked shakily. "Yes" Kayla responded casually, looking at the scratches on Cadence's body. It wouldn't be hard to figure out they had been murdered by an outsider-each killed no differently than how the other was killed-and no doubt that their families would be broken the next morning. Good. Kayla thought, letting the word slip through her lips. "Pardon?" Cadence asked, a confused and frightful look on her face. "Never mind that. Did you tell anyone what Tanya told you?" Cadence thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Good. Would have made for a lng night, though it would have given me something to do in the meantime." Kayla mused. "Meantime, your majesty?" Cadence said, the formality making Kayla nearly flinch before the anger from her past flared and she shot an arrow through Cadence's throat, her final breath a groan of pain.
