Kayla pulled away. "I guess you don't need to, then" She said quietly, curling away from him |

"Heyyyy, I was just teasing babe." He says, tone shifting immediatly to a softer one, turning towards her. |

"Alright, then." Gale responded, tone the same as he pulled the blanket over them, farther up her upper half then him. |

Kayla sighed, her hands shaking. What the fuck? She thought, curling into a ball and hiding her face as it became scared |

"You okay?" He asks, starting to panic slightly. What happened? Was it him who scared her? Did he do something wrong? Was she mad at him? Probably. Gale shifted farther away from her, hiding the panic behind his ice blue eyes. He was about to stand, blanket only covering his lap when he heard shouts. Hosea burst into the tent, panting, eyes frantic. "Gale we....we gotta go man, guards found the camp. All of us have bounties over our heads, they already got Dutch." Gale's eyes went wide as his face dropped. They already captured Dutch? The most wanted in the camp? "They got Dutch?" He repeated, Hosea nodding. "Hurry up, we gotta go. Now." He clarified, darting out of the tent again. Gale stood once Hosea left, pulling his pants and underclothes back on before tossing on his cloak, tucking it down his face before slinging his bow over his shoulder. "Get up and get dressed in the mininum. We're leaving," He told Kayla, voice stern as he notched a bow quickly, walking out to numerous guards on horseback, shooting seven out of the god knows how many surrounding them. The guards kept coming and Gale had no choice, shouting one last command at Kayla. "Meet me at Sage's place, you'll know when you're there.I love you, now take care." Before slinging himself onto a horse, galloping off into the woods. <><><><><> Gale eventually reached the resting point of Sage, eyeing the redwood tree with the knife laid infront of it. He dismounted, sinking against the bark when he heard shouting, and the usual sound of guards in clinking armor. He went silent, alone, afraid, and cold. The snow fell silently, his breath coming out in puffs aginst the stark white background. "We already got Dutch, i'm sure they'll come for him. Now if we could find Gale i'm sure we'd keep our heads." Gale gasped silently, he hadn't been outside the camp in months, hadn't done anything in months. And yet they still cared about him? He was silent, praying to not be discovered. The man spotted the squadron of guards, roughy fifteen of them, the leader infront holding a torch up high. His breath caught in his throat as the guards spotted his horse, pulling to the side to investigate. Gale heard their footsteps, but barely fwipped his head around quick enough to realize two guards were creeping up behind him. Before he could process they were there, or even manage a 'oh shit' one of them pressed a cloth to his face. The cloth was wet with a liquid, it making Gale faint almost instantly after inhaling the fumes. His body slumped to the side, the two guards stepping forward and hauling him across the back of a horse, shackles already locked, already gagged, aiming right back for Iekburgg. The place that had broken him once, and it was laughing as it waited to break him again. |

Kayla got up, scared still but the fear nearly eating her alive with the guards around. She shook her head in fear at Gale as he rode away, feeling her stranded as she composed herself enough to grab a horse and her daggers after getting dressed. She sprinted the mare to Sage's place as she was told to and heard horses walking away. "Fuck" she muttered, dropping the mare's reins and following the group |
