leim was ready to get out of school and once the bell rang he went to his truck and seen Emma and smiled walking to her then grabbing her waist and pulling her close and he kissed her then one of his buddies pulled up then turned off his truck looking at Emma and leim Mike said"oooo"

Emma kissed him back, then blushed and looked down, going to climb into the truck. She waited for Leim

he gave her the keys then leim talked for a little and then he got in the truck "sorry babe"

"It's fine" She said, smiling at him as he got in. They drove back to his house and she hopped out, going to take his hand before walking inside. She let go of him and flopped dramatically onto the bed before sighing

he drove back home then let her out of the truck taking her inside and laying down on the bed next to her "its been a long day"

"It has" She agreed with a nod. She took his hand and smiled at him, happy she had him. "We have a FFA meeting next week and I have a barrel racing competition next weekend" She said, smiling. "Are you able to come?" She asked, couble checking before assuming. She smiled and kissed him, getting up to make him dinner. She mad pad thai, one she had taught herself to make in her mother's absence. She served his bowl, not hungry for dinner herself, but wanting him to eat something before she took care of leftovers and dishes. She went to the bedroom and turned on a movie as background noise while she scrolled through some Tiktok and waited for Leim. She was still worried about how her mother would react to a boyfriend. She worried her mom wouldn't approve of him for some crazy reason, or maybe even kick her out of the house for dating him. Her mother had always been abusive, and yelled and slapped Emma across the face in times of failed schoolwork or a bad barrel run or basically anything that dissappointed her mother. She sighed, setting down her phone and getting up to get dressed for bed

"yeah i can come to your barrel race" he answered her then ofter she was done cooking he eat and thanked her then went and took a shower and got ready for bed

Once she was ready for bed, Emma crawled onto the bed and grabbed her phone, texting Katie.

leim laid next to her "whats going on love" he pulled her close and kissed her

"Nothing. Katie's being a pest." She said, kissing him back and sighing. She laid her head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat as she fell asleep
