Zephyr blew out a quick breath so his ribs weren't broken as he was squished smaller than he thought possible. "I'm here for you." He managed to squeeze out before she let go and he praised the lord for air. "Definitely the moon. And if I had to guess, with the experience I have with being popular, soon you ARE going to be wanting me to smack some boys. Sorry to say, but you just made a home run in front of the whole school = people are quickly attracted to you. You might just join me in the top circle." He joked, but nodded at the thing about Izzy. "She did make some great runs."

Sophia chuckled as she let him go. "Oh shoot. I forgot about that. I'm going to die..." she rolled her eyes. "You can smack whoever messes with me. How about that?" She asked with a smile

Zephyr grinned widely. "I will definitely smack whoever messes with you! Mission accepted." he laughed a little. "And you're not going to die. Hanging out with me means you already get stared at, so nothing will change- except people will talk to you instead of me." He teased.

"Ahh but that's the thing. I don't want people to talk to meeee" she complained with a smile. She stumbled when someone bumped her into someone else.

Zephyr grinned a little. "Too bad. People are gonna talk to you now." He said, glancing at the person who had pushed her, which just happened to be Robert. Zeph would've let it go, but Lank came up and got right in his face. "Think you need to protect your new girlfriend, eh? Seems like you jumped from one to the other rather quickly." Robert sneered. Zephyr glared at him like he was melting steel. "Shut up. I already have permission to smack you. How's your nose feeling, by the way?" he asked with a snort. Robert glowered and walked away.

Sophia gulped as the boy spoke. +we're not dating+ was the only thought that came to mind. As people spoke, she seemed to shrink behind Zephyr to avoid the watching eyes. "Zephyr..." she whispered softly

Zephyr watched Robert retreat before slowly turning around with a wince. "Sorry. I hate him. He's a liar and really ain't that smart. C'mon." He said, glancing around before weaving through the crowd to a more secluded spot.

Sophia greatfully followed him. She could feel the eyes of some people staring at her. Her eyes were wide as she looked around. "How do you seem to know all of the places that no one else does? " she asked as she bumped his elbow

Zephyr lifted his eyebrows slightly. "I didn't ask to be stared at all the time, yet I am. I find spots where people can't." He answered with a small shrug. "That was a great hit though, but I have a question. Why were you holding the bat like that?" He inquired, tilting his head slightly. Edited at April 15, 2024 01:46 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

"Oh. That makes sense " suddenly her face brightened "well for oen, it trips the other team up, two it gives my hands better traction for a harder hit and three... well I don't know. " she thought about her swing. She kept her hands practically on top of each other with her pinkies wrapped around each other. When she swung, her arms and wrists would flick in such a vigorous motion that the ball would practically fly away. When she let her pinkies go, the bay would fall and off she would go.
