Dutch woke up very suddenly as he and Luke were just laying by the fire. Luke had regained a bit of movement, but not enough to be too useful. He'd amazingly learned how to exist with his left hand. Still less than his right hand used to be but it was good enough. Dutch sat up, then stood and trotted off. Luke narrowed his eyes and stood up. Following him. He peeped around the corner, seeing a hoard. "Dutch, come come." He motioned the growling dog and herded him inside. "Mercy! Its a hoard." He whisper-yelled. Walking inside and grabbing a pistol. That was all he could use at the moment without tearing what little had healed in his arm since he'd been raked of skin.

"Oh shit. Its just one thing after another, isn't it?" She whispered as she grabbed her bow and slung it over her shoulder, doing the same with her quiver. She stuffed a few knives into her pockets and grabbed a rifle. "Are they headed this way?" She whispered.

He pocketed extra magazines. He wasn't happy with using a loud weapon but no silencer, no silence. No second hand, no bow. He snatched a few knives. "Yep." He walked back outside, letting Mercy out and shutting Dutch in. He walked over, peeking around the corner. Mumbling something inaudible about "how the hell did these decaying cabbagebrains find us" as he moved back around the corner.

"Do you think you can climb?" She tilted her head at him, whispering quickly. She wanted to waste as little time as possible talking, to get on with it. She glanced down at Dutch. "We could probably get him into a tree with us, if you can climb and I can carry him. They rarely look up."

"If we shoot them, then we wouldn't have to worry about Dutch." He wasn't too nervous til then. Threatening my damn dog. He growled. "Yes I can climb, unreliably but I'm sure I can make it." He whispered in a rushed tone.

"I would rather try to see if they'll pass by- its easier in the long run. But lets walk and talk. Come on, Dutch." She grabbed Luke's good hand and speed walked the opposite way the Misted were coming. "We can try the tree idea and if that doesn't work, try and take them all out from above?"

"Hhhh fine." He really didn't wanna be in a tree. ..Or try to get in one. He didn't know how Dutch would react either. He huffed. Putting the pistol in his other hand, hoping he wouldn't involuntarily drop it while climbing a tree. "Just climb, Mercy." He said quietly and sharply. The Misted were very close. He took a bit of a running start, to get up a tree with branches higher up. He grabbed a branch with his one arm, the jolt started throbbing in his forearm but that was fiiine. He swung his legs up. "Thoughts on tossing my dog or finding your own tree?" he said quietly.
