Kennedy smiled at Mercy as she interwined their fingers, he gave her hand a small squeeze before following his mother into the kitchen. He let go of her hand to grab some bowls for them to eat while his mother started to clean whatever dishes were laying around. As he started to get them their dishes he'd occassionally glance over at Mercy as she observed everything, he knew his place wasn't anything fancy but it still was decent looking unlike most homes in the village. He just hoped Mercy found it decent as well and not disgusting or something

"You have a beautiful home, Lillie." Mercy smiled at the woman gently, glancing over at Kennedy. She ran her hands over the smooth counter in front of her. It wasn't some expensive, exotic stone from Narnia, for once. She enjoyed the rustic look much more than her tidy castle.

Lillie looked back and smiled at Mercy "Well thank you, it certaintly is" She beamed before returning her gaze back to the dishes "May I ask how you know my son Mercy?" Lillie asked just out of curiousity. Kennedy smile slightly hearing what Mercy said then walked up to her handing over a bowl "Careful it's a bit hot"

"Thank you." She smiled at Kennedy, before turning to address Lillies question. "We're... ehm... coworkers, you could say." She said, shrugging.

Kennedy smiled softly at her "No problem" He said to her before guiding her over to the table and pulled out a chair for her to sit in. Lillie finished up the dishes and turned leaning on the counter to watch the two "Coworkers huh? Well glad to know he has someone as pretty and nice as you to work with" She mused with a small smile before going to put up supper

"You are too kind. I knew he had to get his flattery skills from somewhere." She smiled at Kennedy. "I feel like I'm the lucky one here, really. I'm very glad he came to work at the palace."

Lillie chuckled lightly while putting the last of supper up "I like to say he got his best charms from me" She joked with a small smile before walking over and sitting with the two. Kennedy smiled back at Mercy as a very light blush starting to cross his face "Oh both of you stop it" He said a bit sheepishly "And I'm glad I have the opportunity to work in the palace" He mused to her with a small wink

Mercy rolled her eyes at him, taking a bite of her food. She kicked him gently under the table. She swallowed and looked up at Lillie, almost surprised. "This is amazing. They don't even make food this good at the castle! What did you- How-? Okay, I need this recipe." She chuckled, taking another bite.

Kennedy held back a small smirk as he too took a bite of his food, when he felt her kick him under the table he shot her a playful glance and kicked her back gently. He continued to eat as she spoke, Lillie on the other hand was smiling "Oh it's nothing fancy but I can give you the reciepe to take back home with you before you leave." She offered while getting up to go get the reciepe and copy it "Kennedy I like this girl, you need to keep bringing her around more" Lillie called out to him before walking out of the kitchen into the other room. He swallowed his bite before chuckling slightly "Told you she would like you" He told Mercy with a comforting smile

"Thank you!" Mercy called after her. "Everyone likes me." She sighed sarcastically, before chuckling. "Its sort of part of the job." She took another couple of bites, looking around. "I love your house." She glanced around admiringly.
