Lion tipped his head slightly. "A who what now?" He asked, confused

"Hey, you oK?" she asked gently. her ears showed only kindness and caring.

Lion shook his head, clearing his thoughts. -why did she call me west- he thought, glancing back at Pride. "Yes, I'm fine." He answered, walking a bit closer to her and looking at the plains.

"Maybe we should leave?" she questioned, "you know, to a different territory?" her ears were swirling around listening for noises.

Lion sighed. "Yeah... that might be the best idea. Come on." He said quietly, sounding sad. Lion glanced around one last time before starting out of his territory. He imagined the scent marks fading to nothing... stallions coming and taking over... Lion shook his head, forcing the thoughts out of his mind. He would find a much better territory.

She trotted beside him looking a little hopeful. She wished he would just ask already.

"you know, It's been 3 years already, since I moved in with you..." she carefully hinted. He hadn't been getting the hints lately.

(Aww... why did you have her up for Sale if you didn't want to sell her...?)

Lion flicked his ears. He had a bad feeling she was trying to hint at something... no, Lion KNEW she was trying to hint at something. He just didn't know what It was. "Yes..." He said slowly. Lion knew Pride must think he was so stupid. He had a very sneaky suspicion settling in, but he didn't think that could be it. ... ... could it?

she pricked her ears up and looked at him, hopefully. She really hoped this stupid hot stallion would take the hint, and ask. I mean, what's the point of living with a stallion if you're not part of his herd.

(Ohh... that's weird. Was she old or something...? That really doesn't make sense.)

Lion finally decided to listen to the creeping suspicion he had ever since the first hint. He stopped and turned to Pride. "Pride... I have a feeling you want me to say this. Will you be my Mate and join my herd?" Lion asked, smiling.

"Well, finally! And Oh my gosh, YES!" she happily snuggled up to the stallion knocking him off balance.
