It was sweet that he thought about her and it actually warmed her heart. It just showed how much he did care and it couldn't make her happier finding a guy that worried about her. "Yeah it would be easier. I'm not used to walking this much in my human form. I mean, I walked a lot before things went downhill but it was usually in my wolf form" she slipped off of the hood of the car and she took off her backpack to set it on the hood. Cassidy started to shift and her groans of pain turned into whines when her body morphed into a four legged wolf. After the shift was over, she shook out her fur and walked over to Sage to rub her head against his hand. |

Sage grinned and patted her head, ruffling her ears. "I thought so," he chuckled. He picked up her bag and slung it over his shoulders before standing up and stretching. He was awake now, for sure, and eager to keep going...maybe they'd find someone or something . With Cass as a wolf, she could smell and heat things he couldn't, so it was a win win. "You ready to keep going then?" |

-Yep!- she yipped happily and she started to walk with her ears swiveling in different directions to listen for any sounds of zombies or people. While they kept walking, she stopped when a slightly familiar scent came to her nose but for some reason her mind wouldn't register who it was. Suddenly a large black wolf emerged from an alley between two buildings with his head lowered and fur bristled up. His canines were bared with a low growl rumbling in his chest while he stalked towards them like a hungry animal. In fact, he was. She could see his ribs. -Don't attack. I know him- she told Sage and she lowered her tail and tucked it between her legs to not seem like a threat except it didn't work. The large wolf barreled towards them and Cassidy braced herself from the impact. When the wolf's chest hit hers, she yelped in pain and flew back a couple feet but before she could get up the wolf was on top of her. -Alex!- she mind linked the wolf and hoped that would get his attention. The large black wolf stopped growling and his head snapped up in surprise while he stared down at her. -Cassidy?- he questioned and he slowly got off of her. Alex nudged her shoulder to help her stand and when she did, he sat down and cocked his head to the side -Where the hell have you been? The pack looked for you for so long but we all eventually got separated.- Cassidy shook her head -Long story but I'm glad to see you are alive at least.- |

Sage almost lept in when the large wolf bowled Cassidy over, though he held himself back, knowing she'd asked him to stay put. She knew this wolf....was it a former pack member? They seemed to know eachother well. He hoped so...it would be great if Cass had found part of that little family she once had. He did feel a bit awkward just standing there, but he wanted them to talk before he butted in. |

Of course Cassidy wouldn't forget Sage so she walked over to him and she stood at his side with her shoulder pressing lightly against his leg. -This is Sage. Sage, this is Alex. We were in the same pack together- she introduced the two of them. Alex walked up to them and he looked up at Sage -Nice to meet you- but then his attention turned to Cassidy -Is he your boyfriend? You two reak of each other- he admitted. Cassidy was glad she was in her wolf form otherwise she would be blushing as red as a tomato -Yeah Sage is my boyfriend. We found each other a few months back and have helped one another a lot. We actually found a nice home to live in and everyday we are eating pretty good- she explained. Alex nodded-Im glad you are doing well, Cassidy.- She looked up at Sage and then to her former pack member -Would you like to join us? We have been living in a cave and it has been keeping us alive.- Alex was surprised -Only if it's okay with your boyfriend.- |

Sage chuckled and nodded, though a light blush had spread across his face. "I'm cool with it. It's nice that Cass has found a pack member...she's been worried about you all." He patted Cass and looked down at her. "Do you want to bring Alex here back or keep going for now? It's up to you," he told her. He really didnt care...they'd found a member of her pack, her family....he was more than happy the way things were working out. |

-No, let's look for the things we needed to find- she nuzzled against his leg before she started to walk. She was ecstatic to find a member of her pack but he seemed to be alone so she wondered where the rest of her pack was. It was a large pack with at least forty people a part of it and she knew they wouldn't find them all but Alex was a start. Alex walked with them and he kept an ear out for any danger -I was with Ellie for a while but she died. I have been alone for probably a month now and I haven't seen any of our other pack members- Ellie was his best friend and to this day he was still heart broken that she didn't make it after she got a bad infection from a gun shot wound. Cassidy whined softly -She was a good person. That's so sad...- |

(ok sounds good! Iight have Sage's dad show up just for some drama later on XD) Sage nodded and followed her, happy that she was still decided on an adventure. "Sounds good to me," he chirped. He felt a pang of pity for the other wolf...Alex?...based off his tone this Ellie character was important. But theys found him, which was a good thing. He obviously wasn't eating well, so he could do some good to help them and they could help him. |

-Ellie was Alex's best friend- she spoke softly to Sage -Only a few years older than me and you- it was too young to die but the apocalypse lost a lot of people, young and old. It would only get worse before it gets better and she knew that. Cassidy walked over to a house and she sniffed by the doorway -Old scents. We should be good in here to look for a few things for the cave.- Alex walked up too to sniff and he nodded -All clear.- |
