He nodded mutely, relieved that she didn't think any less of him now that he wasn't at his strongest. "Staying up all night worrying probably hasn't helped my stress levels," he muttered with a dry laugh. |

"Probably not..." she agreed "Lets go inside hm?" she said gently. "I'll get you a wash cloth so you can wipe your face down a bit..." she told him she decided not to mention that she may be pregnant, he'd had enough for one day. She sat him on the bed and went to get a wash cloth for him. |

He nodded submissively and followed her back inside, glad to just flop down on the bed. He closed his eyes wearily, tired but he had to admit he was thinking clearer now that he was able to let himself let out some of the emotions that had built up inside of him. He still worried about Roxie, but not nearly as much as he did. |

Max smiled and ordered something for them to eat and a movie for them to fall asleep to. Maxine didn't eat much so Sage got the most of what they ordered from room service before they turned on the movie with the full intention of falling asleep. She let Sage lay on her stomach part of her wondering if he already would know... If he could hear heartbeats and the baby had one could be hear it? She wondered... If there was a baby anyways... Or did he mistake them for hers? She wondered so much on her mind... Yet she didn't dare say anything... Only twelve hours she told herself... Then she can take a test and find out for sure. |

Sage did hear a heartbeat, and it almost sounded like there was another, smaller one, too. He was too tired to think much of it though, and fell asleep almost as soon as he lay down. He had forced himself to eat earlier, not hungry but not wanting to worry Maxine even more. |

The next morning she got up earlier then she usually would and was sipping on yet another ginger ale as she waited in the bathroom she'd already taken the test but she still had to wait... It was the most agonizing few minutes of her life... Her leg bounced eagerly as she watched her timer willing it to go down faster... When it finally got down to 0 she picked up the test and burst into tears when the test made it perfectly clear that hers and her friends suspicions were correct... Now she just had to wait for Sage to wake up... How would he react? How could they do this being on the run from demons? How would she tell him? She wondered all these thoughts went flying through her head. |

Sage slept until late morning and when he finally sat up and rubbed his eyes he felt much better than the day before. He groaned and swung his legs over the side of the bed and sat there for a minute. He noticed Maxine and cocked his head. "You look like you have something on your mind." |

I have to go for a bit but I'll be back :)) Max jumped when he woke up she didn't realize he'd woken up until he spoke she was too wrapped up in her own thoughts. She turned to him taking a deep breath before she simply handed him the test "I think I know what Fate meant now when she said that we'll be bonded in a way no other mortal and demon have before..." She murmured hesitantly "I'm a little surprised you didn't know before me..." She admitted with a small chuckle. |

(haha I was just going to say I'm going out to dinner with my dad so I won't be on either) He raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think my brain has been working recently," he chuckled. He shrugged. "Fate said a lot of things, and I've given up trying to understand them, so if you have an idea, let me hear it." |
