He lay down and closed his eyes. He was tired, but still half didn't want to sleep. He supposed he could try though, and if he started to have nightmares, which he usually did, he could deal with them. He fell asleep in a few minutes, but it wasn't a super deep sleep since he was used to needing to wake up and fight if need be.

She kept watching while he slept. looking out the entrance of the cave listening to the wind.

The nightmares started in about an hour after he fell asleep. His brow creased as he continued to try and sleep.

She looks down at him and started to run her fingers through his hair to calm him so he could keep sleeping. she looks back at the entrance and starts singing softly.

He slowly relaxed and the nightmares fizzled out as he lay there. He slipped into a deep sleep, which was the first time that had happened in quite a while.

She smiled softly as she kept singing, continuing to run her fingers through his hair. She knew he needed the sleep and didn't want him to wake up until morning.

He was able to sleep well, without nightmares. He slept deeply, which he knew he needed. He was confident that nothing would be attacking at this point, since it was almost dawn, so he was comfortable sleeping deeper than usual.

Ellie yawns slightly as she watched the sunrise. she rubs her eyes and shifts slightly to get more comfortable. she looks down at him and smiled.

He woke up once the sun was shining into a cave. He looked up at it, and then groaned and rolled over onto his stomach, burying his face in the blanket. He didn't feel like doing much yet - it was warm in the cave and he was comfortable.
