Noah woke a little later, realizing his lighter was gone. Frantically, but trying to hide it, he ran downstairs, searching for it.

Noah bumped into Emery, her turning at the feeling. "Hey, you good?"
| |
| |
"Yeah sorry," he smiled awkwardly. "I just lost something... my- keys! Yeah my keys.."
| |

"They're... on... the counter.." She said slowly, amused by him not being able to find them in such a simple spot.
| |
| |
"Oh, yeah..." he mumbled, grabbing his keys and trying to not seem like he was still looking for something, even though he was.
| |

"What... else are you looking for?" She asked curiously
| |

"Uh, nothing, I'm all good,"
| |

"Oh, okay. It seemed you were still looking for something," She mused, heading to sit on the couch and continue reading.
| |
| |
"Nope, I'm all good!" he said, he wandered over to the bathroom, finally finding his lighter. He let out a sigh of relief.

Em kept reading, getting emersed in the world. Max had just arrived back, seeing Noah was clearly looking for something and giving him what he hoped was a look that didn't look mean before continuing on.
