Dakota slept for a long while

Nate just held her.

Dakota woke after a few hours, Hunter crying. She tried to get up, her mind spinning and her stomach churning

"Stay, I'll get him," Nate murmured, getting up quickly.

Dakota nodded, nearly collapsing back onto the bed

Nate got Hunter, calming him down. He played with him for a little before he wanted to go see his mother, so Nate brought him to her.

"Hey bud" Dakota mutterd, her voice thick with pain and exhaustion. She tried to sit up but failed and gave up after nearly blacking out from dizziness. "Sorry" She muttered, unable to get up

Hunter smiled at her, walking over to her. "It okay Mama. I know you sick,"

"Thanks, buddy." She said, turning her face away to cough
