Kai smiled and nodded. He got out of bed and stripped the entire bed of the blankets and pillows. He started setting up the nest, putting the pillows around in a circle and then laid the blankets on top. "Wings hurt?"

Camery watched him for a moment, her brow raising as she pondered how this would be much better. She supposed the circle would mean you weren't putting pressure on them. She glanced back up at him as he spoke, and gave a sheepish sort of chuckle. "A lot," she mumbled dramatically. "I need you to tell me they won't always be this sore," she complained.

"Theyll always be a bit sensitive, but they'll stop being sore either tomorrow or the next day after that," he reassured her, finishing up the nest and crawling in. "So you lay like this," he showed her, one wing propped up on the side of the nest and the other tucked in.

Camery let out a soft breath when he told her they wouldn't always be this bad. Thank heavens for that one. Because they really, really fucking hurt. Everything seemed to hurt, other than the brief time that they felt very, very good. It was all so weird to her. She watched him crawl in, and pulled the blanket around her shoulders a little more before following him in, propping her wings up the same way he did. She let out a sigh of releif as the weight on her back was moved, and just flopped her had down in exhaustion. "The sooner they stop aching the better," she breathed, sort of shifting into her shiny new husband to curl up a little.

"They'll get better, I promise," he kissed her cheek, cuddling into her. "The longer you have them when their brand new, they'll become less sensitive to pain,"

Camery nodded gently to him, leaning up to press a soft kiss to his jaw. "I know, I know," she murmured softly. She glanced up at him after a moment, though. "I can deal with it. After all, they're a wedding gift from my super handsome, kind, loving, Double XL husband," she teased softly, pecking his jaw again before sort of just curling up next to him.

Kai smiled and chuckled. "You're welcome,"

Cam smiled gently to him, leaning up to peck his cheek before closing her eyes, glad to finally settle down for what felt like the first time in weeks. A very, very long few weeks. But, they had two months now, just to relax and unwind and with a bit of luck, not kill eachother. The thought was amusing more than anything. "Love you or whatever," she mumbled softly as she slowly started to drift off. (Do you want to do a bit of a time skip?)

Kai smiled, beginning to slip off too. "Love you more," ( Yea sure )

The next few weeks drifted by leisurely, the two of them really just enjoying the others company. Spending time out on the beach, exploring the little island or even just cooking togther - although, she had to admit she was surpised the two of them hadn't somehow given themselves food poisening. They definately had cooks and maids for a reason. Still, she found herself sat in the kitchen while Malakai was off doing... something or other, attempting to make the two of them some pancakes. Not that it was going particularly well. Her mind had grown more and more set on the whole idea of them needing an heir, though. The more she sat there watching Kai, the more the idea imprinted itself into her head. She knew he wanted to wait, knew he didn't think it was the right time, but she so very set on the idea. She'd bring it back up to him at some point, but for now, she just wanted to try and enjoy the mess of flour and eggs she'd made in the kitchen.
