Laurel waited and gave him room as he sat the daffodils down before using her thumb to wipe the trail the tear left from his face. Then, without a single word she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, her hand smoothing up and down his back in a soothing motion.

When he hugged her back she just stayed there, unmoving as she did nothing but comfort him. She didn't care how long they'd stay, knowing that comforting him in that moment was the most important thing. She stepped back when he let go and smiled a small, sympathetic smile when he touched the gravestones. She knew he missed them badly. But, she still didn't say a single word as they walked back to the limo and got inside. Once they were in she stayed at his side, their hands resting on her thigh as she rubbed her thumb against his hand.

Laurel gave Aria a small smile before looking away, her attention back on Lucanas they went up to the penthouse. She kicked off her shoes before climbing onto the bed behind him, her body curling up around him gently. She wrapped an arm around his midsection, holding him firmly, but not in a restricting manner. Her other hand stroked over his hair. "Do you want to talk about it? Or do you just want me to keep holding you?" She murmured, not wanting to pressure him into anything.

Laurel continued to hold him, never moving even when he fell asleep against her chest. She was astonished to see such a soft and vulnerable side to such a man, but at the same time her heart had broken into a million tiny pieces for him. She laid there for as long as she could without falling asleep, but eventually she dozed off with him in her arms.
