"I think you'd be surprised," she murmured, her voice light with amusement. She pulled back slightly to look at him, a playful glint in her eyes. "You know," she began softly, "You're the first boyfriend I’ve ever had." The words hung between them, quiet but filled with a quiet honesty. "I never expected my first boyfriend to be... well, my bodyguard," she mused lightly. |

His hand in hers, his deep, steady voice, and those intense eyes... he made her feel things she never thought possible. No one else had ever made her feel this way. It was only him. As he told her he was honored, her heart swelled, and she let out a soft, breathy laugh. "I’m honored, too," she whispered, her voice full of sincerity. She leaned up to press a tender kiss to his lips, her hand brushing lightly against his cheek. Pulling back just slightly, she studied his face, her curiosity getting the better of her. "What were your last relationships like?" she asked, tilting her head slightly to the side. The question slipped out before she could stop herself, but she couldn’t help it. She was genuinely curious. She assumed he’d had a relationship at some point—how could someone like him not? |

She had heard the words 'I love you' before, but they’d never truly meant anything to her. People said them so easily, so carelessly. But with him... it felt so different. He meant something to her—something real—and she could feel herself falling deeper with every passing moment. Her gaze softened as she studied his features, as if searching for reassurance. "You're the first person I've ever loved," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. It was raw, vulnerable—something she’d never shared with anyone before. She knew she could tell him she loved him a thousand times over, but this confession felt different. It was as though saying it out loud made it undeniable, unchangeable. She sighed softly, a bittersweet smile crossing her face as she looked down for a moment, then back up at him. "It's just a fucking shame you're the only one I can't have," she added, her voice quieter now, filled with a tinge of regret. It wasn’t fair, not to her, not to him.
