She kept giving him everything she could until he rolled off of her. She kissed his spot again, exhausted. "I love you, Sage." she said, rolling to snuggle his side. She traced the scars on his chest, still a bit upset he had endure some kind of pain for them. "Tell me where you got your scars." She mumbled, looking up at him.

Sage wrapped his arms around her when she curled in."I love you too," he hummed softly. When she asked about his scars, he hummed softly. "Some are from dad," he admitted. "Others are from the war in Croatia, before we moved here," he added.

"Are we?" She asked, worrying if her brother or his father found them. "If one of our family finds us together, one or both of us are dead." She climbed off the bed and put on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. She climbed back onto the bed and laid on top of him. She drooped to either side of Sage, placing her head back on his chest.

Sage snorted and shook his head. "Dad's too drunk to leave the house." Then he thought about her brother. "And if anyone tries anything we'll be alright"

"You promise?" She asked, entirely trusting her Sage. "I love you." She whispered again, hoping he knew the extent of how much she loved him.
