Sage nodded and handed her the phone, waiting while she called her and then moving to stand up and grab his keychain. "We can meet her down by the gate and I can let her in," he noted lightly. "I don't have to be in uniform or anything," he added. "Might freak your mom out less anyway," he admitted with a soft chuckle.

Alleyah sighed and nodded, wiping her eyes. "Yes please" She stood when he did, a smile slowly covering her face. "I'm scared and excited at the same time"

Sage nodded in response to her comment and then shrugged. "Well she seems eager to see you," he noted. "It can't be bad if she's this excited," he pointed out.

"She'll probably be crying the entire time" Ally smiled a little to herself

Sage chuckled softly and nodded. "She hasn't seen you in a long time. You're in the same boat," he added, the last part a little bit teasing. "Besides, we have some big news to break to her," he added.

Alleyah giggled a little. "Yeah. Just hearing her voice made me crack. I'm going to be a bawling mess" She smiled. "You saying that sounds like an engagement announcement." She started full on laughing, her eyes squeezed shut as she fought to catch her breath

Sage chuckled softly and nodded, though at her next comment he couldn't help but laugh with her. She was right, it did sound like that. "That would certainly be big news," he agreed through his laughter. "Hey mom, I've known this prison guard for like a few weeks but he took me on a few walks and stuff so now I want to marry him," he added, shaking his head in amusement.

Alleyah snorted when she laughed again which made her cheeks turn red. "That'd be hilarious" She managed to catch her breath before standing straight. She wasn't completely opposed to the idea, but she hardly knew him. And he was a guard- a very different one, at that- so everything he was saying could be the opposite of the truth. But the hope he was giving her, whether it was real or not, was enough to make her stupid brain think there was a chance.

Sage chuckled softly, slowly calming down, and nodding. He supposed he wouldn't be opposed to a relationship with her....finding out more about her, learning about her family and that sort of thing. But for now, they just had to get her out of here. She'd probably take off once she was out, and not looking back again...which saddened him a bit. But he was determined to make the best use of the time they had together.

Ally let out a soft breath. "Okay... Am I allowed to go with or am I going to have to wait in a cell?" She turned her head slightly so she could look at him, her hair falling over her shoulder.
