"You'll have to wait and see." Matt smiled, letting a couple people pass in front of them before starting off towards the back of the building, eyeing the smoke rising from around the corner, as it usually was. "Mhm, I somehow don't think that's sarcasm there either" He said teasingly, holding what eye contact he could until he'd finished his sentence, focusing on not walking into someone's bike. As they got closer you could hear the faint sound of screeching tires and music, insinuating that they were at least doing something round there. As Matt and Elowyn reached the corner, it was clear they were. There was a long, smoothed out dirt path, stretching to the very edge of the cliff though there were weak barriers placed right at the edge, presumably to stop people driving right off. At the other end of the path there were two people stood either side, just on the edge, and a couple people on bikes rolling up next to the others. "Judging by those two i'd assume you'll be lucky enough to watch them tonight" Matt smiled, looking over at Elowyn. The atmosphere round the back was increidbly different to how it had been by the truck. It was peaceful there, a lot quieter, but instead where they were it was a lot louder, a hell of a lot busier and in general a more chaotic atmosphere. Matt sat down on a small raised piece of wood which stretched and was designed as a chair, beckoning for Elowyn to sit next to him, his eyes on the cliff at the edge of the track. As much as he enjoyed the races, those barriers weren't stopping any bike- the only thing that made him nervous.

Wyn rolled her eyes at him playfully, following him intently. She kept herself close at his side, glancing around in interest as they passed more people and bikes. She lifted her gaze to his at his words, holding it. "It wasn't meant to be sarcastic." She said simply, blinking at him with mock innocence as he tore his gaze from her to keep from walking into a bike. She simply grinned, looking forward again and peeking up as she tried to catch a little but of everything that was going on. She blinked at the sudden change in noise, looking at the end of race track and cocking a brow. That didn't seem stable... at all. How many riders had driven straight off that ledge before? She pushed the thought down, smiling slightly at his words. "Lucky me." She joked, settling beside him and watching the straight track intently. She leaned back slightly, stretching her arms back and above her head with a small sigh. "Matt," She started lightly, shifting to curl her legs up with her before she looked up at him and finished her question. "I've never asked. What do you do besides... this?" She waved a hand at their surroundings. "Other than bikes, what is it that you do for fun?" She asked, settling her hands in her lap.

"If you want an honest answer, not too much. I tend to just do whatever I can to get out the hoise, and thats usually with friends." He said with a shrug, a weak smile displayed on his face. He enjoyed Elowyn along questions about him, as dry as his answers sometimes were- though that was just how he tended to be. It wasn't like his parents asked him many questions. After a couple seconds, Matt diverted his gaze from the two bikes lined up next to each other and back to Elowyn, his eye contact strong. "How about you?" He asked, cocking his head curiously. Though their conversarion, and themselves were stable, it was surprising. Matt was still feeling the effects of the alcohol rather strongly, and he was finding it just a little difficult to push the words out.

Before Matt could say another word the sound of engines could be heard clearly, and he looked over at the dirextion of the noise. The two bikes were on and ready, and the crowd, which had been rather packed bedore, became even more so. He bit hos lip ans sat back, watching as the people either side of the tracks lifted thwir arms and eventually slammed them down, signalling for the bikes to go. The speed of the two vehicles were immense, not something youd expect from what looked like two low powered machines. For the most part, they stayed head to head, spraying up the dirt and dust behind them in immense amoumts, causing it to waft rifht into where Matt and Elowyn were sitting. It was only a matter of seconds bedore the two bikes reached the end, and it was only then the crowd went a little more silent. The bike that had lost had slowed down rather quickly, and was circling rpund to the side of the track, but the guy in front had been going way too fast. Matt bit his lip as he watched the guy stop only inches from the barrier set up, raising his eyebrows slightly.

Wyn tilted her head at him, narrowing her eyes just a little. "I see. Do I count as one of your friends?" She asked playfully, her tone dropping slightly with the question- unintentionally. She turned her gaze quickly to the bikes lined up, clearing her throat softly. She turned her head back toward him as he spoke, tilting her head into him to hear his voice over both the crowd and the engines. Her eyes flicked toward his lips for a moment too long before she snapped herself out of it and spoke. "I read, usually. Or run- that's kind of it. Don't have time for much else." She shrugged, glancing toward the track again as the engines roared. She shifted into him slightly as people started crowding in, watching the race intently. The farther they went, the faster- the more anxious she got. She bit her lip anxiously as one, in particular, looked like he was going to barrel over the cliff edge. She turned her head away sharply, toward Matt and away from the potential site of death. She looked over Matt's facial expression to see what happened. "Alive?" She asked quietly.

Matt nodded with a smile in response to her question, though unenthusiastically. "Id say yes but I can't get your hopes up too high" he grinned, stretching his legs out over the gravel in front of him, kicking a can over. After a couple seconds of rather nervous silence he nodded, directing his gaze to Elowyn. "Just about" He sighed, rubbing his forehead. He had only ever remembered one friend that had flown off the edge, and well..he hadn't made it. Not that Matt needed to linger on that. He tucked his legs back in after hed finished speaking and leant back against the wood behind them, half his body leaning in the corner. "Anyway." he spoke, fiddling with his shirt, lifting it slightly to flick a piece of rubbish off the bottom of his shirt. "You make it seem like you're the quiet type. Reading and running I mean" he said, his tone curious. Matt wasnt exactly mocking her, or being sarcastic. Just curious.

"Too late. Hopes are already up." Wyn teased faintly. She nodded slowly at his answer, glancing over her shoulder to see where the biker had stopped. "Cutting it close, huh?" She offered meekly, turning her gaze back to him intently. "On second thought, maybe you should... not race anymore." She murmured, searching his eyes for a half second. "Why not race the other way?" She asked softly, shifting slightly into his body. Liquid courage was a lovely thing, truly. She watched him intently as he fiddled with his shirt, tilting her head and smiling at his mention. "In your experience, have I ever been the quiet type?" She laughed softly, settling a hand lightly on his thigh for emphasis.

"Maybe just a little." Matt smiled, looking up as he watched a couple people wander past, waiting until they had gone to finish talking. He raised his eyebrows at Elowyns next statement, reating his head back against the wood behind them again. "I wasnt exactly planning on it so you're fine there" He said with a small smile, though that was easier to say than actually put into play. If his friends wanted him to, he very much would. After all it wasn't as if Elowyn and him were as close, so he didnt have to listen. As she shuffled closer into Matts body, he moved his arm out the way, to avoid it getting squished, it ending up around her shoulders. He didn't think much of it though, and instead finished speaking. "I think it was designed that way for the thrill mostly, bit also because racing the other way would put the start like a lot more out the way of the crowd, they don't tend to like rhat" he said with a small smile, looking down at her hand. "No. You talk, too much infact" Matt teased, cocking his head to the side with a rather amused look on his face. "Do you wanna stay here and watch more or go back rpund to yhe front?" He asked, tearing his gaze away and swallowing the strange nervous feeling that he'd had before.

"For now." Wyn mocked, smiling as he slung his arm over her shoulder. She gently leaned into him, glancing around as people loitered past. "No, they don't. I don't want to ask how many..." She thought for a moment, then shook her head. She chuckled at his comment, grinning up at him. "Aw, you know you love it." She joked, shooting him a playful wink. She gave a slight shrug at his question, then glanced at the track. "Are there gonna be more races?" She asked, a slight nervous edge to her voice.

"Sure, sure" Matt smiled, looking up as the two bikes that had previously raced rolled past, glacing at him and Elowyn with small smiles. Matt didnt reciprocate much and instead turned his attention back to her, fiddling with his shirt. "Yes, usually a lot more. I dont tend to stay watching all of them to avoid having a heart attack though, thats why i asked" Matt smiled, shifting his legs so he could stretch them, ignoring the lingering dizzy feeling from the alcohol. "Its entirely up to you though. We can stay here and watxh more, go back round the front and either you go and linger with others or we fijd more drinks. Or go home" He said softly, pulling his phone out after he had finished talking. It was safe to say his parents werent too happy about him having gone out, and for this long, but there were no messages aboit Elowyn so that was comfortimg. Yet at least.

Wyn offered the passing bikers a smile that was more than a little flirty, still settled lightly against Matt. She could tell he didn't care much for her, so why not? She did want to find someone who wasn't entirely opposed to her. She tilted her head lightly up at him as he spoke, giving a light shrug. "I'd honestly rather not have a heart attack, if that's alright with you. What do you say we go around the front, grab something that maybe isn't hard liquor, and see if anyone is doing anything interesting? I mean, call me classic, but beer pong or spin the bottle wouldn't exactly go amiss." She answered, standing and turning to offer him a hand up.
